Mine was definitely New Kids on the Block! I've been to their concert twice recently, and they are so awesome live.
What about you?

I remember BSB and 'N Sync both being really popular when I was going into high school. But I was weird then and pretty much refused to listen to the radio (honestly, it all sounded the same to me) and listened to mixed cds instead.

BSB and 'N Sync were probably tied, but let's be honest.... BSB for life!

BSB and N'Sync for sure. I was never a fan of either. However, I was a HUGE Hanson fan. They are a *real* band.

NKOTB. My friends and I were planning to lip sync/dance to Hangin' Tough for the school talent show... But in the midst of our rehearsals, they suddenly became uncool and we bailed on the talent show. Bummer, as we'd even bought their music video (literal VHS video) to study their moves!

I'd say Backstreet Boys. N'Sync got big a teeny bit later.
Honorable mention for 98 Degrees.

N'Sync for sure! I'm embarrassed by how much I loved them! lol

Take That. They had a revival a few years ago and did really well that time round, too. Not sure if they were big in North America, though?

Take That and Backstreet Boys when I was an older teenager.
@anonysquire: I loved Hanson!

@Sapphiresun: Perfect order.
I went to a BSB concert in 6th grade....in a limo...with my besties. It was like, the. best. night. ever! (Why do I remember what I wore--one of those fake kimono inspired shirts, black stretchy bell bottom pants, and black platform shoes made of the same material as my pants. Clearly, I was vying for Nick Carter's attention).

Nsync was HUGE and I still love them.
But, Hanson is my favorite (though not a boy band IMO).

NKOTB. I was obsessed. I had NKOTB sheets, comforter, curtains, posters, dolls, etc.

NKOTB. I was also OBSESSED with them and still am My Dad was pretty strict when we were growing up, so I was never allowed to go to one of their concerts, but I'm making up for lost time! I've been to 6 concerts, 3 meet and greets and 1 after party in Vegas since their reunion in 2008. Donnie Wahlberg was my first celebrity crush and still looks good after all those years!

NKOTB. My dad took me to see a concert when I was in fourth grade and he said he couldn't hear for four days because of all the screaming girls

@Blueberry: I loved Hanson. I am still a fan now. They have released quite a few independent albums since they were super popular in 1997.

NSync, Backstreet Boys, and Hanson!
eta: LFO was a runner up!

NKOTB! My sister was a huge fan and I was not. I was going through a Goth phase. It was all about the Cure, Depeche Mode and my personal favorite, They Might Be Giants.

NKOTB! Loved them then and love them now. Went to the concert last summer and they were just as good as I remember
