Who wears the pants in your relationship?
Who wears the pants in your relationship?

Definitely DH... I don't want them at all & while there have been times it's tempting to pick them up & put them on I pretty much refuse! lol
ETA: I do handle the finances since I'm home, but by wearing the pants I meant that DH is the leader & final say in all matters.... I may take the responsibility of getting some things done but he is the "one in charge" I guess you could say... when things aren't going well in our family the fault is ultimately on him & his leadership.

I'd say we both have a leg in the pants I run the house and our finances, but all decisions are made jointly.

I don't like that term/idea..
I'd say neither?
My very reliable and responsible husband makes our final decisions but he does it with me in mind and we come to 99.9% of our decision after much compromise and reasoning. I trust him to always be the man of the house and do the right thing! but, he also looks to me as an equal counterpart.
I definitely get my way a lot but only when he willingly allows it, and vice versa.

I run a tight ship, I wish DH would take on more of the responsibilty. If we want to go anywhere it is up to me soley to get us all ready and out of the house with the needed supplies. This is the same for dinner and bedtime on a daily basis. I really wish he were more of a partner in this aspect, but I know I would need to work on giving up some control too.

@Bookworm: Ditto! I take care of the finances, but all decisions are made jointly and we do everything together.

Both of us.. nobody has more 'control'. We make all of our decisions together.

oh goodness...me for sure. Sometimes I would like to not though and have a bit of a break!

We both do. Most things we make decisions on together, and there are some things that one of us is just better at so that person takes on that area.

I think it's pretty even....I handle some things, and he handles some things, but we make big decisions together.

@mrsmenow: You sound like me!
I'm definitely "in charge" of the day to day runnings of the house. I have very specific ways I want things done though. He is okay with taking the "follower" role though so it works for us. And he is in charge of finances a decent amount so I guess it evens out..

@Amelieisme: I think this might be why my husband spends so much time in the bathroom, lol!

I'll echo PPs and say that we each have a leg in. @Bookworm: Cute way to describe it!

Eh, most decision are joint, but he is the fiscal conscience in our house. Basically I'm the reason we go on vacations, he is the reason we can afford it! lol!

Both def! I'm way to much of a feminist to have him wear the pants entirely alone. thankfully we both believe.it should he equalbwe both share the pants.

We both have a leg in, but I often have the final say in decision-making. DH handles all of our finances though.
I've said this before in a similar thread from awhile back, I wear the pants and DH wears capris!

We're pretty even. We don't control each other and we're both responsible enough that we carry our weight around here. No nagging or hen pecking needed (or wanted!).

We make tons of decisions together, but ultimately he's the leader of our family. Rarely does it come down to him needing to make a final decision, but when it does, he akes it with us in mind. I'm in charge of day to day stuff, and he has a bigger part in our finances because I hate dealing with them.

We discuss everything together, and come to a mutual agreement. However, I'm more outspoken and decisive.
