Definitely me. Before pregnancy I worked out a lot and I’d drag DH into it with me at times. He was really into running with me last fall but if I don’t initiate it he doesn’t plan to do it on his own. Now that I’m pregnant it’s still that way, just much much more low key. Now it’s taking walks with me instead of running lol.

Right now I would say me. DH doesn't have as much time now between work and getting his MBA. He gets in a run when he can but that is about all these days. I pretty much go 4-5 nights after work. But I have a hard going getting up on the weekends and going.

Definitely me...I work out like 2-3 x a week now, and was at 3-4 x a week pre pregnancy. DH never really had a consistent work out routine, except when he was training for a 10k. I would say he tries to get to the gym or go for a bike ride a few times a month.

DH. he's pretty hardcore about working out, like 3 hrs after work on weekdays. I'm a bum.

Pre-wedding it was me and when I gained 10lbs over a Christmas vaca in 2010, it was me. Now, I'm lazy and neither of us work out. If I suggest an evening walk, the hubby will go with.

DH! he works out almost every day. either at the gym or just doing insanity.

It used to be me, then I got knocked up and have almost no energy. DH is currently on a fitness kick which is great, hopefully I can join him soon.

We work out about the same amount, usually four days a week. He works out at home and lifts weights more than I do. I go to the gym and take spinning classes. I do some arm workouts at home, but they are way less intense than my husband's.

Over the last 5 years that we have been together, me, for sure. However, DH has gotten really into his yard lately, so he spends hours out there doing yard work every day. So, while he's not doing a traditional "work out" he's definitely being active and moving his body. I'm glad! I think it is really important to be active.

It used to be me and it still kind of is. But lately I'm lucky if I can even get one workout in per week. DH doesn't have to do anything and he always stays the same size. I'm getting a little depressed about the lack of workouts, but sleep trumps working out! I have a goal to back to my pre-pregnancy shape by my birthday in November.

Well pre-pregnancy it was me since DH doesn't work out...now we are equally lazy. But after this baby we are both losing our baby weigt (he's gaining some sympathy weight along with me!) haha but he's smaller guy so he can get away with it!

Pre-pg? Me
While Pg? Still me . . . just barely, since we are both taking it easy.

Ha! Hubs, definitely. I'm pretty sure I'm allergic to working out, although before I got pregnant I had started the Couch to 5K program and was really enjoying it. But hubs has worked out 3-5 times a week since I met him 8 years ago. He's always been an exerciser. Me, not so much. I did buy a prenatal yoga DVD and hope to get started on that as soon as I'm out of the 1st trimester exhaustion.

We're pretty darn equal. Before I was pregnant, we went 3-5 times a week together. When I was sick, I cut back a lot and he followed suit, the stinker. Now I need to nag him to get him to go with me! I think I'm a bit more motivated than he is as I watch my belly expand...

definitely DH. he plays hockey 4 times a week and goes to the gym every single day when I'm home for my lunch hour.
I wish I could say that I was as motivated. After working a long day on no sleep, all I want to do is see my LO and go to bed as early as I can.

My husband works out way more than me. He's so dedicated. I was getting back on the bandwagon but then we were in the process of moving and then when we were trying I figured, hey, I might be pregnant so let's wait and see before jumping back into it. Well, then it turns out I am pregnant.
I'm just bad at consistency in general. I really should start to go on walks or something... anything... but I suck. I'm planning on enrolling in prenatal yoga in my 2nd tri.

It has always been DH. He works out on a daily basis and eats right. While I hardley work out and only eat healthy b/c DH makes me my meals!

@autumnlove: my answer is the exact same as yours! I am determined to go back to the gym regularly this week though. I just need to plan out what to do with my LO.

we both equally hate working out, but i am the motivator. unless it is something fun like hiking (or for him, playing a competitive sport) or something functional, like walking a long distance to run an errand or something, then we both dread working out. but, if i didn't force us both to go, we'd both be lazy.

Currently my husband works out more. After getting engaged we both slacked and got lazy about working out. He gained over 40 pounds over the past 7 years and was fed up with it and started a low carb diet and exercise this April -he has lost almost 35 pounds! I am so proud of him. I have started working out with him in the evening and can tell its helping me too. He currently runs in the morning and does weights in the evening.
@kodybear: How does he like insanity? We are considering doing it together
pear / 1616 posts
@sandy: he likes it! even for someone like him who works out alot its still challenging enough for him. we actually did it together at one point (i got lazy since...). we weren't really strict with the schedule. we just did it a couple times a week. at first its like crazy hard but we could see a difference in endurance within a week or two. then it gets better! so i'd def recommend it for you to do together!

Right now, definitely my husband. We have never been overly consistent about exercise although I was always the one who went to the gym more. I have really gotten bad about it (I do walk frequently) and he has gotten much better! He is currently doing P90X and training for a long bike ride. I am so incredibly proud of him! He has struggled with his weight and energy and I am hoping this is going to make him feel much better. Also, he is motivating me to get moving now too!
