If you couldn't pick your Mom or SO...who would you want by your side at the hospital? I would probably pick my MIL or BFF.
How about you?

I had both my mom and DH there, my sister was supposed to be there but didn't make it on time. She was about 45 minutes late lol! So her for sure

My BFF. She's really calming and supportive and a mom. Actually... I might pick her before my mom. I love my mom but sometimes she really stresses me out.

My sister... and definitely a doula. My sister was present at my daughter's birth, and even though she was clearly kind of nervous, she was a great support person.

Any of my 3 sisters--actually I had one of my sisters in the delivery room when my first was born.

Hmmm. I'm not sure of anyone other than DH or my mom. Maybe a doula, but I'd have a hard time paying for one since my mom works in maternity & would be able to be a great support person. Def not MIL, she stresses me out. Maybe my non baby loving BFF (I have 2, one loves babies, one never wants any), I think she'd be good at keeping me calm distracting me when I need it.

I would probably hire a doula. I can't think of anyone else who would actually be calm through everything. I didn't even want my mom to be there when I was in labor with DS. I knew she'd be all in my face.

Yeah, I think a doula. My sister would be the obvious choice, but somehow I'm not loving that idea.

Probably no one. I really want it to only be DH and I and hospital staff obviously. I just think it is the most important time for a couple, and I couldn't imagine my focus being on anyone else besides DH

Either my MIL or one of two of my SsIL...one is my BF, the other is a nurse.

If my husband couldn't be there, I probably would have just leaned on the nurse.

My amazing doula! If I have a second, it will have to be within the next three years before we move again, otherwise I'll have to fly her out to wherever we are to attend my second
