Mine is currently throwing a fit because its 55* out and I won't let her wear her tink costume without a shirt underneath. I'm pretty sure people in China can hear her scream!!
Why is your toddler crying?

@Mrs. Jump Rope: Oh what a terribly mean mommy you are! I'm sorry to say that when my niece cries over stuff like this I totally get down on the floor and pretend to have a temper tantrum of my own, usually she ends up laughing and lets me put her coat on or whatever.... soooo funny

@Mrs. Jump Rope: such a mean mom. Unwilling to allow pneumonia. Horrors.
Last almost-breakdown was probably because I served him milk in the blue monkey cup and apparently he only likes green turtle milk.

I won't nurse her right this instance... she's over it for the moment though...

She was pissed when the baby sat in her old highchair.

@mrs. wagon: this made me laugh so hard. How did you not know the turtle was what he wanted?!

Yesterday when we got home, i unlocked the door with the key. Shouldn't i have known SHE wanted to unlock the door??

@Mrs. Jump Rope: Because I'm obviously the worst mom ever when it comes to milk cup distribution!!! I should have studied harder in college...

he didn't want me to put a diaper on him
him and his other baby friends were talking and agreed that he has the meanest mom bc I make him get his diaper changed...

Yesterday at the park I said "beep beep" instead of "honk honk" when he was pretending to be a car.

@swurlygurl: Don't you love how it's the most innocuous thing that sets them off??

@Freckles: Yes! That's what makes it so hilarious! I feel like there was a website like this... I can't remember what it was though

LOL....Bc I fought her to remove the faux pearl earrings that were her medical piercings and replaced them with her little diamonds...Bloody murder! Mommy doesn't even have diamond earrings! She has no idea how good it is to be her:)

Because she didn't want to stop playing, even though I needed to change her dirty diaper.
Go ahead! Stew in your own waste!

I put a Minnie pull up on instead of the Ariel one (we are out of Ariel)

Same as most mornings:
- I wanted to change his diaper
- I wouldn't let him run around naked
- He dropped lovey off changing table
- He didn't want to put on his pants
- I made him put on his shoes
Mornings are awesome.

@stargal: This is my morning and bedtime routine everyday lately. Today, I started a new little routine of reading a book or two after he has a new diaper on and is dressed. I'm hoping that it cuts down on the tantrums. Toddlers, man!

bahaha. love this thread. so far we're having a good day!

@Mrs. Yoyo: But according to Daniel Tiger, trucks go honk and cars go beep beep! Seriously, I'd call him out on that one
Our latest meltdown was more than likely because I wouldn't let him poke baby sister in they eye He isn't doing it out of spite, it's simply how he asks questions. He points to his eyes , then hers. I can't seem to make him understand to stop though.

@Mrs. Yoyo: this made me laugh out loud!
How do you guys keep a straight face?? I feel like I would just laugh, which would probably infuriate them even more!

@Mrs. Jump Rope: @BabyBoecksMom: @Mrs. Yoyo: LOL!!!!
I wouldn't let him turn on the bathroom water faucet to splash around in (thanks, dad for letting him do that ONCE), I wouldn't let him push the shopping cart around the WalMart parking lot, I wouldn't let him push the ice dispenser on the fridge, I wouldn't let him bring lovey to the table at lunch, I wouldn't let him jam the key into our mailbox at the post office 57 times, only 56 times. Oh, you name it.
Suddenly, I feel like I have a normal child!

@Pepper: I'm terrible. I laugh. I can't help it! Some of the things she says are downright hilarious and instead of disciplining her, I crack up.

You are all such mean moms. I thought I was being helpful and I picked M's spoon up off the floor. Apparently the spoon is "floor spoon" not to be pi ked up by anyone but the toddler.
GOLD / squash / 13576 posts
@mediagirl: That's crazy you didn't realize that spoons belong on the floor. What did they teach you in school?

I told him that he couldn't have any milk or snacks until he finished his small cup of water. He was in tears and said, "Don't worry mommy."

She dropped a peice of paper in back of our headboard and wanted it again.
She didn't want her onesie buttoned.
Probably because her Spöka or turtle turned off. But she's playing nice and actually trying to go back to sleep.

LOL. These are so funny to read!
We had several problems today:
- Mommy made her put on clothes before we went outside. Apparently she wished to be naked all day.
- I handed her a cracker out of the box. She needed the whole box.
- Her balloons got tangled up and she needed them untangled NOW. Two seconds was too long to wait.
- I wouldn't let her dump the entire container of fish food into the aquarium.
- I didn't let her eat a quarter.

Because she's going through a growth spurt and she is constantly hungry and pissy and I put her in her car seat. Sorry, kiddo, it's too far to walk home.

*I wanted to change her soggy wet diaper this morning when I got her up
*She wanted to eat crayons for breakfast instead of her cereal
*She wanted to eat my cereal but not hers
*She didn't actually want my cereal
LOVE my toddler!

@prettylizy: this made me laugh so hard! C wanted her daddy's cereal this morning so we gave her her own bowl, but she dumped it on the floor and cried when I vacuumed it up!
