It's ridiculous! I'm always like, "mommy needs to go to the bathroom," "mommy needs to get a burp rag". Mommy this and mommy that all day. Haha. Please tell me I'm not the only one!

I do it too. I think it's so that our LO's have an easier way to identify us by name when older.

I think we're programmed to do it so they'll learn our names! I wonder if it will be hard to stop later on, though.

@mrskc: I do it all the time even now. DH and I call each other (umma and appa). I think it helped our LO know who we are and learn to say our "names" a lot quicker than the average child.
