Or will you pass down your first LO's crib to future (or existing) LO's? We will probably get another crib for future LO's only because LO's crib turns into a full size bed and matches her other furniture, which she can also grow with.

Nope, next LO will get our current crib and LO#1 will either move to a toddler bed or a twin bed (depending on how old he is).

I'm not sure. LO's crib turns into a toddler bed and a full size bed, but we didn't buy the expansion kit. It was almost as much as the crib! Crazy. ILs bought the crib.
I figure depending on their ages, we'll reuse the crib for baby #2, but LO will have the bed back when she's older. I'll put her in a twin or toddler in the meantime.

Well since we don't plan on another lo til J is in preschool, we'll probably continue using just one crib.

We'll be buying a second crib for #2 since we're expecting sooner than we planned. DS's crib is convertible but I don't think it'll last us long enough to convert to a full size bed. We probably would've ended up buying another crib regardless of when we had a second child.

The plan is to use the same crib, hopefully LO will be in a bed by the time number 2 comes, but if not we'll just buy another (cheap) crib.

I think it depends. If we end up having a boy, I think DH will insist on not having a white crib.
If it were up to me, we'd just use it again. I like our crib.

I'm still not sure. FIL and my mom have offered to buy another crib but maybe we will just move LO to a twin bed?

Yes, especially since they're so close together. DS's crib is a 4-in-1 so we'll convert his later down the line and get DD her own 4-in-1

Her crib becomes a twin bed, so I'm not sure. I'd like our LO's to be a few years apart (at least 3), so we'll see where A is at that point.

I plan to just buy one crib. LO #1 will move into a twin bed before LO #2 is born. The ones we are looking at do convert to a toddler and full, but it would be way cheaper to just buy a twin for the older one and reuse the crib as a crib. We are using a hand me down dresser and getting a crib that coordinates, so we'll buy new furniture for the toddler's big kid room.
Only way that wouldn't work out is if I ended up gettng pregnant with the second sooner than expected. I'm still only 25 weeks with the first but clearly I've thought about this!

I don't know..... Originally we assumed we'd just use the same one. But E will only be 13-14 months when LO2 arrives and I don't think I'll want him out of his crib yet? Idk!!

Probably not. I plan to have a gender neutral nursery and reuse at much as possible with each child.

We are in to reducing waste as much as possible. Lala never even slept in the crib, do we were pleased to get to use it!

It'll convert to a toddler bed and then depending on when number two come around he'll get that crib hopefully and older will move into a big bed.

We would have, because DD's crib was (is) a convertible, but we bought a model home with all the furniture. Sooooo we didn't and the crib is technically DS's crib since DD has all new furniture!

DD was going to get DS's old crib. Any future babies will use the same one. It's in great shape.

Nope. My grandmother bought us a really nice Pottery Barn crib. Even though it converts into a toddler bed, Lainey will be moved to a different bed if the crib needs to be used. I'd rather spend money on a new bed for her then spend $$$ on another sturdy/well made crib.

@zippylef: white cribs are for girls? Hmmm, I think my LO missed that memo!

@zippylef: our crib for DD was white and girly looking, but using it now for DS anyway! He's also using her purple crib sheets and pink swaddles...haha!

Even though her crib turns into a toddler and then full bed, we will get her a new set. Then #2 will have this crib and then toddler and full bed.

DS will be 15 months old when his sibling will arrive....and he is no where close to being ready for a regular bed, so we will be buying a second crib.
