I think I am going to finish addressing today and send them hopefully tomorrow. I figured that was cutting close but they would make it - but then I saw on the USPS website that for standard post service, the deadline was Dec 15.
Is that just for packages or are my cards destined to be late?
By the way, a friend just told me last night she hasn't ordered hers so I don't feel that behind!!!

I think the worry is over packages getting there, not cards. You should be fine!

I've sent late cards before. I don't think anyone has minded. If they did, I should probably stop sending them our card. 
Many look forward to our holiday card so I'm sure they don't care when they get it... they care that they get one. 
Also from a receiver's standpoint, I'll be traveling from Christmas until Jan 9th... So I won't get it until the 10th, I won't notice that it was late.

Standard mail usually takes 3 days from coast to coast... so you'll be fine for cards! We haven't gotten many from friends and family this year so far, so you're not alone

Cards are totally fine. They usually take 2-3 days depending where to.

I plan on sending my Christmas cards out by the end of the week. I'm assuming they will arrive some time next week. So far we have only received 2 Christmas cards.

You should be fine. I have noticed the post office taking longer than usual. I used to mail things to my dad an he would get them in 4 days, now it's more like six. But, even if it takes the cards a week to arrive they'll get to their destination before Christmas.

@daniellemybelle: I dropped mine in the mail this morning and I fully expect everyone to get them by Saturday. Minus my aunts in Canada. Some local family will probably get them tomorrow even!
