I remember being so excited that the tooth fairy was going to visit and give me a quarter per tooth. I was sad I had so few teeth, as it limited my earning potential!
Will the Tooth Fairy visit your house? If so, how much will the fairy pay out?

Yes! I have a pillow with a pocket that a dear family friend made for me...I hope my son doesn't mind it is heart shaped!
I have no idea what the going rate is these days. I got a quarter, but that was over 30 years ago!

@Looch - I think maybe $1 now?
I am not sure about this yet...my mom did not let me believe in the tooth fairy. I don't think she liked the idea of money being in the bed since it is not sanitary. Hmm.....could wash the money first?

Yes, definitely. I had a little pouch to put under my pillow. In the morning, there would be $1 instead of my tooth inside. I think we'll do the same for our kids.

Maybe for the first tooth! I wonder what my husband would say and if he grew up with the tooth fairy!

Yeah, def! I loved the Tooth Fairy! I only got a quarter for each tooth... we'll see what my kids get. I think coins are funner than dollars, but maybe I can get the coin dollar for the Tooth Fairy to give out.

Yes, definitely! And wow, Mrs. KMM. I think we got a dollar for our very last tooth but otherwise it was like a quarter! Ha! I love the magic of things like the Tooth Fairy, Santa, Easter Bunny, etc.

I only lost 2 teeth on my own, the rest were pulled. And since my Grandma /the toothfairy felt bad that I had to go through that pain, I made $20 a tooth!
We haven't discussed how much the tooth fairy will be giving our baby a she has no teeth yet, but it will not be $20 a tooth.

Totally having the tooth fairy visit. Maybe we'll do old coins to get Wombat interested in coin collecting (I love it).

I love the tooth fairy! She once left me a whole dollar when I lost a tooth while on a family vacation! I usually only got a quarter though. I plan on doing the tooth fairy thing for my children, but hearing people at work talking about how the tooth fairy leaves $5-$10-$20 a tooth scares me- really $20 for a tooth??? I might do $5 maybe..... probably more like $1.

We will definitely have the tooth fairy visit, probably in the $1 variety though. I like the idea of coins too.

Absolutely!!! I think it's so fun! Definitely $1 per tooth... although maybe a little more! I remember getting a $2 bill and I still have that $2 bill.
