So I'm only 10 weeks but I am getting to the point where I can't "suck it in" effectively/long-term, and most people already know. I've gained about 4 pounds due to pregnancy hunger / lack of nausea, but I am pretty short so there's not a lot of room for the pounds to go. I have plenty of loose shirts that kind of disguise it but in my opinion I just end up looking fat, instead of pregnant.

I'd like to start wearing shirts that are more form-fitting so that it's a legit pregnancy bump. However, I don't necessarily want to buy any maternity clothing just yet, a teacher's summer budget is tight! Most of my pre-pregnancy shirts are a blend of cotton with some of stretch/spandex. Not skin-tight, but form-fitting. Basically, I just want to go back to wearing my normal pre-pregnancy shirts and stop trying to suck it in. However, one of my friends did that for most of her pregnancy, and afterwards she complained that all her shirts were permanently stretched out in the tummy area, and she really regretted it.

Did any of you wear your form-fitting pre-pregnancy clothes for awhile? How long do you think I could get away with it, without stretching them out?
