We'll be traveling to NY to spend thanksgiving with my family. Can't wait! Haven't seen them since early September.
Need to get a few new car friendly toys for the girls. It will be DD2's first long car trip as a toddler so I hope she'll do as good as her sister does! FX.

Yes! Going to see my family. A 5 HR drive. DS has done good with the bubble game on the iPad in the car.

Nope! We usually go to dhs grandmother, who lives about an hour and a half away, since my family is 4-5 hours away and traffic is awful thanksgiving weekend. But I'll be 37 weeks pregnant and BIL and his girlfriend offered to host, who live all of 5 blocks away! So dhs grandmother will come stay with us and this very pregnant mama won't have to host or travel.

For Canadian thanksgiving we stayed home and had MIL over for dinner.

Nope! DS is due on the 19th so we will be home with a newborn (I hope!). My parents will bring us food

Assuming baby girl doesn't show up a month early we'll be driving 2.5 hrs to D's aunt's cabin on the Chesapeake Bay in MD. I can't imagine having Thanksgiving anywhere else, and both of D's brothers will be down with their families, so I'm super excited!!!

Nope. I'll be 38.5 weeks pregnant and it's my LO's bday this year. We have local friends who will be coming over for dinner if I'm not in the hospital having a baby. You know you have a good friend when you can say "I want to have Thanksgoving at my house with you and your family, but I want you to do the cooking". And she's immediately on board.

Nope. It will probably just be me, DH, and DD this year. I didn't want to travel while she is so young.

We will go to my parents' house for the weekend, which is about 1.5-2 hrs away driving.

Yes! I haven't been to my home state in over 3 years, so I'm packing up DH and DS in the minivan and we're taking almost 400 mile trip. It would take only 6 hours with no stops, so I estimate we'll take at least 8 hours. DS needs a convertible car seat before then, he's about to outgrow his bucket seat. I hope he sleeps and DH can keep him entertained in the back

Nope, DH is signed up to work OT so we invited our families to our house for the day after to cook a whole meal that day!

Not sure yet. We've been invited over to my brother's GF's family's home, but we're still waiting to see if MIL is hosting. Those two places require travel, otherwise table for two at Casa de Lime.

Yes, unfortunately. 10 hour drive with 3 year old, 1 year old and I'll be 19 weeks pregnant. Dreading it.

Nope! We decided once we had kids we wouldn't travel for holidays. Doesn't make my family happy since we live near my inlaws but too bad. It's stressful and expensive to travel on holidays. I'd rather wait until after or go before when I can enjoy it more! This year we will visit my family in between thanksgiving and Xmas.

Hells to the no. I'll be 35 weeks pregnant and everyone is coming to me this year. Well actually we'll be celebrating at my parents which is about 45 min away but that's not traveling.

No, we usually go to my ILs (around 2 hours away) but LO2 will likely be about 2 weeks old so we're staying home and DH is cooking

Uuuuuugh we still need to make plans, it's stressing me out!! We had been planning to go visit my family in MI and that's what I want to do, but fil's cancer has come back so we are most likely going to visit them, but they're in the middle of a kitchen remodel... Hoping it's done before then! Otherwise we can't reall stay there w lo, plus we have to make sure it's okay to bring our dogs.... I just want to go to my family though this will be dh's and my's 11th tgivig together and we have spent all of ONE with my fam

Yes. 3.5 hour car ride. We usually leave Thanksgiving morning so traffic isn't bad.

We're still debating this. Part of me feels like we should since we're going to be on vacation with friends over Christmas.
But, the other part of me just really wants to stay home with DH and relax! Whenever we go back to our hometown there is always an expectation (from his parents) that we see everyone and attend everything. Ugh...it makes things so stressful because I constantly feel like we're just running here and there.

All of you staying home are making me jealous! We weren't going to go anywhere and DH's parents were going to come to us, but my SIL is very sick (cancer) and so we are going to them (St. Louis). DH did manage to find direct flights from the small, near-by airport that don't break the bank so travel should be as easy as it can be for holiday travel.
