I'll answer for DH as I am currently a SAHM, and the answer is no! His company, along with most places here, shut down for two weeks over the Christmas and New Year period. As Christmas is on a Friday this year, everyone finishes up work on the 18th and they go back the 4th of January. Australia was the same and it is so nice that nearly everyone (except essential personnel) are off during that time as there is no fighting for who gets to take the time off etc...

Yes- it's a shortened day and my husband is off to watch the boys, so I'm going in for at least the morning to prep for a big inspection we have coming up in January. I love days like that, nobody is there to interrupt me, I can get a lot done!
