I'm not a big flowers kind of girl and DH knows this, but he has surprised me with a single rose for my birthday. It's always a surprise and it's so nice.
For V-day, I'm not sure if he will get me flowers.
We don't really do much for Valentines day. We don't even go out to dinner. The lines are just too long.

Yep, DH is a huge flowers guy. He got 'just because' flowers last month, so I can guarantee Vday flowers are right up his alley.

My DH usually brings flowers to my office (he knows how cheap I am and that I would die over a delivery charge), but I have begged him not to do that this year. I recently got a new job and our offices are on the complete opposite sides of the city. Plus I'd rather put the money towards something that I can keep alive more than a few days (I have a brown thumb)... or at least eat!

Usually. I told him to NEVER sent me flowers to work though. He usually goes to Whole Foods. Never roses either; neither are fans.

Probably not. I rarely get flowers in general. I think he got me flowers one Valentine's Day when a bunch of his coworkers went to a flower store near home to get flowers for SO's.

He used to bring them home after work, but when I switched jobs everyone would get flowers delivered to the office so I said I wanted to get them at work too. An old co-worker owns a flower shop so he always orders them from her.

He usually gets me flowers from the florist where I had our wedding flowers done. A funky little arrangement, not like a bouquet of roses, that just wouldn't be my style.

Not sure. It doesn't matter to me either way. Sometimes he does and sometimes he doesn't. DH knows I love chocolate/candy better than flowers so I'd be happy with that!

DH is home all week chilling with us, so I told him not to get me anything chocolately and no flowers delivered either. We might go to Whole Foods and pick up a pretty arrangement together though

He usually does, but this year I'm pregnant and asked for something I can eat (I swear my life revolves around food these days) - so it'll be chocolate covered strawberries!

Nope. I drive by a flower wholesaler on my way to work every day that has a really pretty sign advertising a dozen roses for $9.99. On Valentine's day they put up a piece of lined paper with a "3" on it to make it $39.99.

Doubtful... I'm a wedding planner and I get to take home gorgeous centerpieces all the time after wedings. So none of the flowers he's gotten me has lived up to the arrangements I see on a weekly basis, heheh.

No. Our cats eat any flowers we bring into the house and they end up being both a mess and also potentially poisonous. It's a nice thought but they're more trouble than they're worth for me.

Nope, DH hates v day and even if he didn't I would probably yell at him for spending so much on flowers just because it's v day.

I don't know. He ususally either sends something to work, or brings something home with him. But this year we are doing a fancy dinner and paying a babysitter so he may skip the cost of flowers. I don't mind either way... I'm just looking forward to date!

I used to get flowers even though I would tell DH not to. However, the last few times he sent flowers, they were always messed up. Usually, they were just delivered late when he paid extra for morning delivery. Last year's V-Day flowers were actually delivered at 5 pm on 2/15 when he paid for delivery by 10 am on 2/14. So instead, he started sending me chocolate covered strawberries from edible arrangements. We have both agreed that this is the way to go.

Maybe. Honestly, I'd prefer he wake up for a motn feeding to bring LO to me and handle the diaper change instead of flowers or chocolate. That's my idea of romance right now

Probably not and that's fine with me. We decided we'll just curl up on the couch after J goes to sleep, with homemade chocolate covered strawberries and watch a movie. We've never celebrated valentines day together because one or the other has always had to work!

Not unless they are alive and I can plant them in the garden. I prefer a candle, cupcake, or something alive We'll probably rent a Redbox and hopefully open a bottle of wine.

I'm a sucker for flowers, so hopefully yes. It isn't something he does often, but on v-day he usually does. I've been pining for an unpractical gift for a while; I am the type who always gets needed appliances or cookware as gifts and although I love that stuff, I also love pretty things too!
We have indulgent family members who will bring LO a valentine, and so we will have PLENTY of chocolate. I'll probably make a dessert for v-day dinner too. Plus that weekend is my mom's birthday so we'll also have cake. So I hope for no candy from DH!
