It hasn't crossed my mind to turn DS2 FF yet. With our first, it was really had to hold out until 21 months. He complained a lot and it was hard to get him toys, snacks, books, etc on long trips. But since DS1 is FF he can pass stuff to DS2 who is RF and DS2 hasn't really complained about RF yet. So I imagine he will RF for a lot longer than DS1 did.
Will you RF your second (or third) child longer than your first?

I just FF DD1 at 3 yrs 3 months. She didn't know it was an option and was content - I was testing out 3 car seat configuration in our car and it was too much work to put it back to rear facing so I just left it. I am betting DD2 will want to be the same direction as big sister sooner than later, but I would like to keep her rear facing to 2.5-3 years.

We moved DS1 to FF at 2.5, because heavily pregnant, I couldn't get him in and out of the seat anymore. His seat was also in the middle, so that made it tough, as well.
DS2 is only 9m now, so there's no end to RF in sight (clearly). We do want to have another baby, however, so I guess we will just take it day by day if/when that time comes. I plan to RF as long as we can!

DS was switched at 2.5 when his sister was born and we moved car seats around.
DD was moved a few months before age 2 because we were going on a long trip and she kept straining to look at the TV so we switched her then.

Yes, but only because at the time the recommendations were less 5 years ago.

It's definitely possible that we will. Shortly before DS turned 2 he started really protesting getting in the car. He would kick and cry and scream. So we ended up turning his seat around earlier than I intended. If LO2 doesn't mind rear facing, I'll keep her that way until around 3.

If anything, I suspect we'll turn #2 sooner, though I hope that's not the case. #1 is still rear-facing at 3 years old and I'm hoping to keep going until he's 4 and do the same with #2. I'm worried that once we switch #1 though, #2 will want to switch even though he's younger.

We turned LO1 at 21 months. She was getting carsick every week and I was very pregnant with LO2. We tried to make it to 2 years, but it just wasn't working for us anymore.
We turned LO2 just after she turned 2. I wanted to keep her RF longer, but it was getting so hard to get her in her seat (she was throwing huge tantrums when it was time to get in her seat).

Probably about the same. DD1 is still rf at 3.5, plan on doing the same for DD2.

DD1 is still RF at 2.5. We will likely flip her in September when she turns 3 as she will be pretty near the RF weight limit for the carseat. I'd love to keep DD2 RF till 3 but I have a feeling she might ask to be turned sooner because big sister is FF. only time will tell.

Maybe a little longer because she's smaller.
DD1 is still rearfacing at 3yrs 3mos and I have no plans to switch her into she outgrows her seat which has very high RF stats.

Probably. We only turned LO1 because we couldn't fit two seats RF comfortably. So we turned her when the baby was born (literally, while I was in the hospital). She was almost 2.5. Since this is probably our last baby we won't have a reason like that to turn her. Hopefully she will be content like big sister was.

Probably about the same. LO1 was 3y7m when we turned her and she was close to outgrowing her seat.
