Charlie and Olive are going to their first sports game this weekend -- a Mets game! Mr Bee is sad because he's a Yankees fan, but we're getting to go on the field and participate in a special family event. Should be fun!
I'd love to take them to baseball and basketball games!

How fun! We're planning on taking LO to sports games for sure. Hockey games are really pricey so we may go to the college games where you can get great seats, and the environment is more family friendly. We want to expose her (and #2) to as much sports as we can!

Yes!! The only major league team we have here is a hockey team so it may be a while until she can enjoy that but, we plan on taking her to minor league baseball games this summer. The Durham Bulls are quite good and the Mudcats are .... they have a nice stadium.

I hope we get to soon! We'd like to take her to a Braves game this summer and then in the fall we'd like to take her to a Carolina Panthers game and a South Carolina Gamecocks football game. I wouldn't be opposed to a Gamecock baseball game either.

should be nice weather too, have a great time! no LO yet, but i will definitely take a future LO to baseball games...my memories of going to baseball games as a little kid are some of my earliest memories!

When they're younger only baseball games. Even hockey I'm on the fence bc I don't like how the sport encourages fighting. Football def not until they are at least a preteen. It gets way too rowdy even on kids day!

I took my son to his first college football game at 3 weeks old. I only kept him there until half time though. Since then he has been to several college football and basketball games and seems to really enjoy them (he's 6 months now).

Yes! I'm looking forward to taking her to a Nats game this year. There's also a farm league team close by, so we may check that out too. In a few years we will take her to a football game at our alma mater.

Definitely. We'd probably do baseball games at first because the tickets are cheaper and it's a bit quieter.

I'm sure we will. My husband is a big St. Louis Cardinals fan and we go to several games a year. We currently have season tickets to University of Illinois football (which is sort of miserable) so I'm sure we'll take our (future) kids to some of those games.

@twodoghouse: DH is from Champaign so we always went down for football games. Up until recently his parents had season tickets. Although, yes, those games have been hard to watch. But I'm sure we will take DS down for a game this year!

Oh yea! DS has been to hockey games since he was 4 months old.
Since then he's been to the Red Sox (5 months), Celtics (9 months), Bruins (& maaany AHL hockey teams, every couple months), and New England Revolution (10 months) games.

DD went to her first NBA game at 9months, and she did really well. Since then we've attended a several more as a family. It's really great while they can still sit in your lap (and you don't have to pay)!

To actually watch a game, might be a while, because with a 2 year old, I don't know that he'd actually be able to sit, watch and comprehend the point of him sitting there.

I'm due in a month, and we'll definitely be taking our son to baseball games! We have Mets season tickets, and my husband is already asking me when we can take the baby to a game!

CB went to his first nats game last spring! We'll go at least once this season, too. I'd love to take him to a basketball game and when he's older, we'll probably splurge and mr. CB will take him to a packers game!

She's gone to a lot of minor league baseball games. I'm sure she'll go to our major league team's games too- the Devil Rays. They have a sting ray tank where you can feed the sting rays.
DH and I are most into college football, but we went to rival schools (FSU and UF) so we'll have to go to the game where we play each other to keep it fair.

We might. If I get free tickets from work. Although I wouldn't pay for it.
We're not really sports watching people. My husband would much rather play with the boys than watch.

We've already taken her to our college alma mater b-ball game and to my surprise, she loved it! She loved cheering when people cheered, and was completely entertained!

He went to a hockey game at 10 months and we went to several minor league baseball games before he was even 4 months old. Now that he is walking I am so excited to take him to the minor league baseball games. It is a single A team and so incredibly family friendly!

@twodoghouse: He did. He stayed there for undergrad and law school. Most of his family also went there. I went there for a year of grad school. You should see all of the UofI clothes that DS has. I sometimes feel like everyone forgets that I went somewhere else too!

@Mrs. Bee: how fun! Can you tell us more on what you are doing, or is it a secret? Perhaps i should try to gets tickets to the game.
I foresee lots or Mets and Knicks games in the future. And the U.S. Open. We went to a couple of Jets games last year, but I don't think football is very kid friendly.
