DS is 1 and walking so we figured we'd take him to a couple houses in the neighborhood to trick or treat. Even though we won't let him have any of the candy, I think it would be fun.
How old is your LO, and will you take them trick or treating this year?

We thought we would do the same but I changed my mind. She's 16 months and we'll keep her at home. We will leave her in her costume and let her be at the door for the trick or treaters. Next year we'll go.

DS will be 11.5 months, we might take him to a couple of neighbors to say hi and show his costume off. But, no trick or treating. 
It's supposed to be nasty out too, so decision's been made for us!

Nope (she's too little), but we plan to go say hi to our friends and babies at the block party happening across the street Hopefully it won't be rained out!!

@mrsjyw: yeah I mostly just want to show his costume off. plus, I think it he would enjoy walking around. Maybe we won't even take him trick or treating but just walk him down the street or something. Boo to the nasty weather!

Yup!! DS is 15 weeks and some good friends of ours invited us to go trick or treating with their kiddos (there's 6 of them). The candy will be for momma. haha!

He's almost 2 and we're going to surprise my parents (40 mins away) by trick or treating at their house.

we plan on taking LO trick or treating (I will totally eat all her candy tho, ha!) to just a few houses in our new neighborhood where we will be moving- mainly to show off her costume and we think she will have fun seeing kids dressed up and walking around. plus we think it'll be a good way to meet our new neighbors!

I had initially planned on it. But they're calling for rain so I think we're going to keep her home and let her hand out candy with us.

We hve a ton of high rises in my neighbourhood so trick or treating pretty much happens indoors. We will prob take her to the other apts in our building, should be good fun for her.

Yes? We'll definitely be walking around my SIL's neighborhood in costume with her and my nieces, but I'm undecided about actually getting candy, because it would just be for me and DH, lol.
ETA: Actually, just checked the forecast and it's calling for rain so maybe we'll stay at her house and pass out candy.

I don't have a LO yet, but I'd probably wait until he/she is 2 before starting to trick or treat.

No. DH has class that night (boo) so I'm going to take DS to my sisters house for dinner and to take pictures with his older cousins! Then when they go out trick or treating I’ll just take him home because it’ll be bedtime. Next year will be a lot more fun, I think!
I felt weird about taking him trick or treating when it’s clear that he won’t be eating any of the candy, lol. I don’t want my neighbors to think I am using my kid to get candy for myself, but I’m just neurotic like that!

I'm taking DS (17 months) to the mall during the day with a friend and her LO. We'll dress them up, get a few pics and then let them play in the play space. I work in the evening so DH will probably take DS to his parents.

Yepp! DS is almost 13 months, walking all over the place and he loooooves socializing with our neighbors so we'll be taking him around in our neighborhood.

Yes, Liam is 19 months and we will take him to a few houses. We might give him one piece of candy and keep the rest for ourselves.

@mrskc: LO is 18m and no I wont be taking her. I am not a big fan of halloween and LO doesnt eat candy anyway. She will have halloween party at daycare and I think thats enough

I think we're going to. Our street attracts a lot of kids. I want to get him out before bedtime in his costume and get pics with the decorations like last year.
