I think I want my girls to share a room when they are a little older...maybe it will be a good bonding time for them?

Right now B and E share their room, but I figured it wouldn't last long since they're the opposite gender so that's why we are selling our house. For sisters, it's totally fine though. I shared a room with all of my sisters at some point and we're all extremely close.
ETA: I probably would be fine with the LO's sharing a room until B was like 7ish but in general our house is way too small to live in for 4 more years.

We don't have a house yet so I'm not sure, but probably not!

If we have the room, they'll probably have their own rooms. We're only planning on having two kids though.

Yes, even if they're different genders. At least until they're starting school age and maybe longer.

Yes, they share a room now! they have since we moved (when they were 1 yo and 4 yo).

Maybe. We have talked about having 4 years in between kids, so if that's the case, then I wouldn't really want my 4 year old to be in the same room as a newborn. Our reasoning for waiting would be to have one in preschool and I think that'd be tough on a 4 year old to get enough rest with a crying newborn.
But, if they're only 18 months-2 years apart, I don't see any harm in them sharing a room.

No, we have 5 bedrooms so we're not planning on having them share.

If they are the opposite gender definitely not. If we have another girl still probably not. I think it's important for kids to have their own space.

If we have kids of the same gender, definitely. If they're different genders, it would depend on how far apart they are. My brother and I shared a room for about 18 months and we are 20 months apart.
In my opinion, it makes a lot more sense to have a 2 yr old and a 4 yr old share a room than to have either one of those kids share with a newborn.

Yep, they will share for a while at least. Whether they're opposite gender or not.

Our two boys share a room, 5 & 8. They currently share a room because our basement isn't developed and we don't have the room for a second bedroom (which we're currently about to renovate). Bedtimes right now are a bit of a nightmare because they cannot go to bed at the same time or else they keep each other up. We have to make sure the youngest is asleep before we send the eldest to bed, which can sometimes take longer than we would like. I'm very much looking forward to them having separate rooms.

Hmmmm, I kinda want an office and a guest room for the first few years! I think we will prob combine the guest room with office so the girls each have their own room.

probably but it also depends on our # of kids and # of rooms. I shared a room until I was 17 as did my husband. Even though I didn't get along with my sister (room-sharing prob made it worse haha) it's still a good experience IMO.

Nope. DH and I both believe in having personal space and our kids will likely be 4-6 years apart, so I wouldn't make them share.

No, we have a 4 bedroom house so that there's easily a room for 2 or 3 kids. I want them to have their own space to retreat too, but I'd try not to let them cave themselves inside except to sleep and study or have a little alone time. Hopefully most waking hours will be spent downstairs with the family.

Nope, we have lots of space.
But DH and his sister shared a room through high school and enjoyed it.

Yes they will. We are buying a 2 bdr apt and I don't see us affording a 3 bed in NYC so they will share.
