Okay, so I'm not the slimmest of girls - but I've always held it well, despite my meagre 5ft4 frame. I've always held my weight around my middle, too, which is why I have been dismissing all suggestions that I am showing with a quick "Nah, that's all fat round there!". And I've been getting a lot of comments - work colleagues all swore they knew I was pregnant already because of my "baby bump". But at 14 wks, I shouldn't have a baby bump....... right?
We don't have any full length mirrors in our house so the only time I get to look at myself top to bottom is when I stay in a hotel. I was working away Thurs and Fri and, when I got into the hotel room and caught sight of myself in the mirror I thought "Woah! I look really pregnant". Like - 6 months pregnant.....
…. But I’m a bit confused. I really shouldn’t be this size at 14 weeks, should I?! It’s my first baby!! I know my stomach muscles are really weak so that will be a factor in my showing early and I know that there is a nice layer of fat over the bump, making it more prominent but, seriously, see for yourself!!
This pic shows me at 2 weeks pregnant (the day after conception, in fact) and at 14 weeks pregnant (yesterday - in the morning, so bloat was minimal!). I'm a bit closer to the mirror in picture two but...what the heck??
