Do you take time off or work from home on days your LOs have a scheduled appts?
Today, DH and his MIL took the babies to their 6 months appt. I'm kinda regretting not going because I had questions about starting them on solid foods. I gave my DH and MIL questions I had but it would have been nice to be there to ask follow-up questions if I had any.

Yes, I take time out of work to make it to the appt. We don't have anyone else to take her. I actually really like going to the well check appts because I can see how much my LO has grown, and ask any questions.

I've been to all of their appointments except for one sick visit for DD1. I use to take time off of work to be there.

Yes, always. I make the in the morning or around lunch time.

Yes I take time off work and sometimes DH does as well. We try to schedule for early morning to late afternoon to minimize schedule disruptions/time off.

I think I've only missed one and DH took her. I usually make them first thing in the morning and go in late.

Most of the time I take the kids to well child appointments, but occasionally I've had a conflict (work trip, etc) and DH has taken them.

Yes, all of them. LO has several specialists and I like to handle it. DH doesn't always ask what I would or relay well.

So their appt went well and DH & MIL asked the questions and got answers. All is well and I feel a little better, but I still wish I was there. Next time, I'm going to go.

I usually take him, but sometimes my husband does. My job is more flexible for well visits so I do a lot of those. My husband usually handles sick visits.

Yes, I make it a work from home day and make the appointment for the early morning or late afternoon.

Yep always bc dh can't take time off easily. I time it for afternoons so it's at the end of the workday.

My husband and I both always get away from work for well visits. Only one of us takes off for sick visits (usually me). I prefer to do them and it's easier for me to get away from the office.

Yes, I don't think I have missed a single dr appt for my 2yo. However, I manage to work from home on those days, and I try to schedule an early morning appointment during my usual commuting time. So, I can usually get away without spending PTO. My job is very flexible that way which is an amazing perk.

I always go to the appointments. I'll go in late or leave early and make the time up.

Yep, either my husband and I will take leave from work to go. We try to switch off.

We schedule the last appointment of the day so DH can make it.

Yes I go to all the wellness visits because my work schedule is more flexible than DH but he goes to the wellness visits too when he can.

I've missed a few sick visits but I think I've been to all the well baby visits for my 3.5 YO and I know I've been at all of the 4-month old's visits. Just had her well baby today actually.

Yes, I go to all well baby visits. If I'm busy, I have DH pick her up from daycare and I meet them there. I usually try to make the appointments at the end of the day so DH is out of work by then.
Sick visits I send DH 50% of the time.

Yes, but literally the hospital is across the street from my office! Also, DH is the one that takes the time off from work, picks her up from school, and drives her to/from the hospital :(.

DH and I both work full-time outside of the home. For well visits we both typically take time off work to attend. We both find it very valuable to be able to ask LO's doctor our questions and hear straight from the horse's mouth her advice. For sick visits typically one of us (whoever doesn't have an important meeting that day) takes LO, along with our nanny--but it is most often me since my office is closer to home/our ped's office.

I either take her after work, or get my mother to take her if it is an apt that can only be done during the day

I sah and DH woh, and he has only been to the first couple of appts for our first LO. Before appts I always ask if he has any questions but he has never taken time off for routine appts. we did go to a specialist when she was a few months old and he took time off for that.
He has never been to a doctors appt for our younger baby. He stayed home with the big one while I took the little one.

Yes, but I'm a teacher and can easily get out and to an appointment by 3:30.

Her first year I took her to everything because I was on Mat leave. Since then hubby too her to mant while we lived out west and his job was more flexible to take a day off as needed. Now we're home and it's me again.
I just call the nurses hotline if I have any questions outside of appointments.

I generally either take time or work from home if we have a scheduled appointment. If LO is sick, it depends on if I am staying home or my husband/ it's often easier for me to but there have been a handful of times when my husband has had to go by himself.

DH and I both go to well visits. If it's a sick visit sometimes we both go or sometimes we go alone if the other has something going on at work.

I'll always go to her well visits. For minor ill visits (like checking for ear infection) I wouldn't necessarily go if my husband was staying home with her that day.

I always go because my husband would be too relaxed about it. I'd probably have follow up questions that he wouldn't. We both actually went to a lot of the baby appointments.
