I take time off for the well visits. I totally trust DH with the sick visits and he has done all the shots since birth. I feel like the well baby checks are more my territory since the baby is BF. I want to see my prized pig get weighed in. It's less important with my 3 year old but her well visits are so infrequent I prefer to do them. DH has the day off so he comes too.

Yes, I always go. My job is pretty flexible though and on appt days I will go then work remotely the remainder of the day.

I can't imagine not going to my LO's appointments. Both DH and I go. We us usually go on my weekday off and DH just goes to work late.

I'm a teacher, so we schedule well child visits around my breaks. Other visits will depend. Either DH will take her, or, if we have no other optoion, I will take her to a local pediatric urgent care.

We're definitely the odd ones out here. Dh teaches so he does our well visits. Plus my mil works at the lab at our dr office so she's normally there at least part of the time. I figure we really don't need 3 people for dd's dr visit, so I rarely go.

I'm surprised by how many that both parents go - we haven't both gone to well check since the first 4 months. We split it pretty evenly between us taking off work to take him to well checks. I find them to be pretty mundane besides the weight/height check since I have usually researched everything they say online already. We are more likely to both go if he is sick (like if we are freaking out or if he's hard to manage bc he doesn't feel good).

Either DH or I go. We're always sure to discuss any questions ahead of time, so the other doesn't feel like they are in the dark. We don't when think two people need to use time off, and he is just as much their parent as I am. When they were little, whoever went always took backup (because I took them to their two month appointment alone, and that was dumb), but it has been my dad and DH before, and everyone did great. Now, we only need one person, but it is either DH or I.

I WAH FT for a couple of years and I didn't go to many appointments after the first year for LO 1. DH handled the well appointments after that.

I do most of them since my work is pretty flexible in allowing time off. I had an important meeting once and asked my mom to take her to a well visit check and the doctors office made it known that they would prefer a parent to take her in the future. My mom watches DD 4 days a week so I disn't think it was a big deal but I've gone to all appointments after that.

DH actually does most of them solo. He doesn't work until noon and I work typical office hours, so he doesn't have to take off work. He's very good at askibg questions and I just call if I need more information... which is hardly ever.

I go to them al....I either schedule them first thing in the AM or at lunch time...

We both generally go - I always schedule his well visits for Friday afternoons after naptime. (After a bad reaction to the 2-mo vaccines I started doing only Friday shots so we can nap the next day if needed.) It's pretty easy for both of us to duck out early on a Friday afternoon. I missed his last appt (18-mo) this past Friday, though, bc I was home with the stomach flu.

So far we have both attended every well check. I schedule for early morning or right after lunch on a Friday and take time off or finish up work from home and DH has a flexible schedule. We have had to split sick visits since his ear infections have required lots of extra trips to the doctors lately.

@runnerd: Yeah ditto. I enjoy seeing LO's weight, but other than that I don't really get much out of them. I stopped bringing a list of questions after about the 4-month one when I realized the doctor's answers were not telling me any more than I knew from google.
DH started taking LO to her appts solo at her 9-month visit, and will continue to do so until we can get her into a different daycare closer to home. It would be impossible for me to take her - unless we both went, which would be silly since we'd both have to take off.

I'm going to try to plan all the visits on Fridays when both DH and I can make it. If not, I'll plan them around my schedule just for consistency.
