I usually wear at least mascara and a finishing powder. If I have time I'll put on full makeup but that generally only happens once a week. But I usually wear something.

I've never once in my life worn makeup to work.
Actually, no - after I bought Bare Essentials for the first time, I wore it to work the next day, and my coworkers asked me what was going on. Hahaha.

yes--it's my few minutes in the morning when i get to indulge myself in something that's just for me to make me feel pretty! i use bb cream, undereye concealer, eyebrow pencil, eyeliner, mascara, blush and tinted lip balm. once in a blue moon i'll do eyeshadow but i can't remember the last time i did that.

Rarely. I put on makeup when I want to look pretty. When I get dressed for work I aim for clean, functional, and professional.
pineapple / 12526 posts
Yep. I wear it every day I go to work. I usually do my skin and throw on at least mascara and something on my lips. I can do a full face (Im talking including brows and highlight/contour) in less than 10 minutes.
nectarine / 2878 posts
Yes, everyday. It takes me less than 5 minutes and I feel better about the way I look. I use all of this daily: foundation, bronzer, blush, cream eye shadow, mascara, lip balm and setting spray.

I just started wearing make up every day not too long ago and honestly it's a lot less time/effort than I thought it would be. Every day I wear: tinted moisturizer, under eye concealer, bronzer, blush, eye shadow, eye liner, mascara, lipstick, and lipgloss. Takes me maybe 7 minutes to do the whole thing.

@loveisstrange: I have a question since you seem to be a make up pro! I just bought an eyelash curler for the first time in my life. Am I supposed to curl before or after I apply mascara??
pomegranate / 3863 posts
Yes! Foundation, concealer under my eyes, foundation, blush, mascara and eye liner! Plus a little lip gloss to finish it off.
pomegranate / 3008 posts
Every day. Most often it is a full face but occasionally if I'm feeling particularly good about my skin I'll for-go foundation but the rest of it still gets worn. Lipstick is the only thing I tend to forget to wear but I'm working on that.
eggplant / 11824 posts
Yes; I always wear makeup to work. I don't feel completely dressed until I do lol
It takes less than 10 minutes (more like 5-7) to put on foundation, setting powder, blush, mascara. I very rarely wear eye shadow or any lip color.

No..not every day. Just when I have time! Importance goes like this:
Brush teeth and wash face
Shower
Dry hair
Straighten hair
Makeup.
If I do wear makeup, it's foundation and mascara. Only if I have time do I do eye shadow.

@maybebaby: that's me.
I don't feel presentable without it. Like I'm wearing pajamas to work or something if I'm not wearing some makeup.
blogger / watermelon / 14218 posts
YES. I do not feel complete without it, and I work with a lot of women. Plus I love doing my makeup.
My routine: powder foundation, blush/bronze/highlight, concealer, eye shadow, liquid eyeliner, brow pencil, curl eyelashes, waterproof mascara. The whole process takes about 10 minutes, which includes a break after the eyeliner to do my hair (just apply product.. it air dries).
ETA: I always forget to do lips! Because I hate doing them before eating.
GOLD / watermelon / 14076 posts
Yes. Same as PP--I don't feel complete without it. Plus, now that I have a baby that keeps me up at night I look like a walking zombie without makeup...gotta cover up undereye bags!

@MamaMoose: You curl before mascara. Adding mascara will help the curl stay in place. DO NOT curl after mascara - it will get sticky and messy and can pull your eyelashes out. Ouch.
YES. I wear make up every day, but especially to work. I just don't feel put together without it, but my look is very neutral: undereye mineral concealer, cheek stain, eyeliner, neutral eye shadow, curl eyelashes, mascara.

I'd go without in a hearbeat if I could, but I'm way too self conscious about my skin (dark circles, breakouts, scars from prior breakouts). Luckily bare minerals does a pretty good job, but then I feel pasty with just that, so I have to do the rest of the job to bring back my features (cheek color, eye liner, neutral shadow, mascara). I've never used anything on my lips other than chapstick because they get so dry and peely during the day I can't imagine lipstick would look good.
Anyone have any suggestions for a colored lip tint/balm for me? I'd have to be something light that I could reapply during the day when my lips inevitably dry out.

@thismustbetheplace: I *really* like the Cover Girl lip stick that is supposed to stay on all day. I bought some for my wedding and found it really works. It comes with the stain (the actual lip color) plus a moisturizing balm, but I have found that you can use whatever type of chapstick/lip gloss you want. I need to reapply lip balm a lot, so I like the idea of having stay-put color that you can moisturize as needed.
Tarte? Sugar? also makes a really great lip exfoliating product - you rub it on and it gets rid of all those loose skin thingys... then you can apply chaptick to keep your lips smooth.
squash / 13208 posts
yep! I wear bare minerals powder - eye shadow - mascara - and I just started using a lip stain

@thismustbetheplace: Try the new Revlon Matte Balms! OMG, they are amazing. They are pigmented like lipstick but feel and moisturize like a balm. I own two colors (Shameless and Showy) and I love, love them both. I want to get a couple of the orange/coral colors for the Summer. Also, getting a sugar scrub for your lips to exfoliate them might be a good idea too.

Only mascara, eyeliner, and coverup for my dark circles! But I wear that every day.

@loveisstrange: @MamaMoose: @yoursilverlining: I agree - it doesn't actually take me very long. But usually Mondays are my crazy morning that I run out of time - and eating is def priority to my face lol! But I agree that I feel better with it.
@loveisstrange: do you have any favorite youtube channels for learning how to do makeup? what I do is very basic. I would love to take a class of some kind to learn more.
wonderful grape / 20453 posts
Oh lordy yes. It only takes about 5 minutes but I need my makeup! Blush, lipstick, eyebrows, eyeliner, shadow, and mascara.
GOLD / cantaloupe / 6581 posts
Yep, every day, but not much. Just mascara and foundation, and some days eye shadow. I don't really like how I look with makeup, probably because I suck at applying it!

@MamaMoose: what, you betray me! I only wear makeup in the home office, never the branch!
GOLD / wonderful olive / 19030 posts
Yep, every day I wear powder foundation, bronser, blush, eye shawdow, eye liner, and mascara. It takes me like 5 minutes tops and i feel better when I have it on, even it it is not that noticiable.
pineapple / 12526 posts
@MamaMoose: You curl before! The way I do it is to start down by the base of my lashes and I clamp down and pulse the curler and count to 10, then I move about half way out and repeat.
@Mrs. Pen: I took an amazing stage makeup class in college. It was SO fun. lol. Guess my theatre major wasn't totally useless after all. Here are a few good YouTubers:
h ttp://www.youtube.com/user/Jaclynhill1 <-really good channel, be sure to check out her videos on skin/foundation and highlight and contour.
http://www.youtube.com/user/vintageortacky <-She's my favorite. Plus, she uses a good amount of drugstore products.
http://www.youtube.com/user/goldiestarling <-My other favorite. She has some great everyday tutorials, but focuses more on costume/special effects stuff, which is really neat to watch. She also uses a good mix of drugstore and high end products.
http://www.youtube.com/user/MakeupByTiffanyD <-She leans more towards the natural and wearable end of the spectrum. She does lots of neutrals.

Yes, my basic face is a swipe of Bare Minerals, eyeshadow, liner, and mascara. Takes about 5 minutes.
pomegranate / 3414 posts
Sort of, I use a mineral foundation to even out my skin tone but that is all.
GOLD / squash / 13464 posts
@looch: Hahaha... when I was in the GS home office I never wore make up. The branch is where you actually see clients!!
GOLD / wonderful apricot / 22646 posts
Yep, except on my wfh days!
I save time by showering at night and doing my hair the nt before!) I have so much hair that I would NEVER be able to do my hair before work. Which is why most days it goes up in a bun!
wonderful pear / 26210 posts
@MamaMoose: True! But I hide in the back and never see anyone when I am in the branch! I have all kinds of meetings at the home office, lol.
In any event, i might start wearing at the branch too!
