i wanna get a wooden dollhouse for P, any recommendations? i wnat one he will hopefully play with for years!

Plan toys has a lot of gender neutral doll houses. We have one and my son really likes it. There are lots of other options out there, I have seen them in catalogs like Magic Cabin.

they are really expensive, but heirloom quality. A playgroup we go to has one, and its gorgeous. Plus, it is so simple and allows for all kind of open-ended play. We will buy one for our daughter- probably for her second birthday. Maybe go halve-sies with my parents....but I figure she can play with it for a long time.
I played with my dollhouse until I was 11 or 12- thats a lot of years of play! -

. I feel that this model is a little cramped though and there's not a lot of room for furniture. I like the chalet one because it seems easier for little hands to access the rooms. And btw that is a great deal that you found!!
