I'd prefer it if I got to leave early! Generally, 8 am is the best starting time for meetings.

Although, a 7 am meeting is MUCH better than a 4 pm or 5 pm meeting!

I get really annoyed when meetings or training sessions are held before 9:30am. In NYC people tend to start and end the work day much later so this isn't usually a problem. But there is a sales instructor based out of our Hartford office and I have attended 3 of her training sessions now and all of them started at 8am. I like her a lot but I left negative feedback on the survey each time about the early start time! Especially if I have to be away from my desk all day, I need to have some time to check email and get situated first and 8am is just too early for that.

I actually think 9am is too early! 9:30am is the earliest I think it is reasonable to have a meeting. But I'm always late.
