I have so many today. So many.
- Two people are fighting over who gets more of my work time.
- My printer ink hasn't come in yet. It's been three weeks.
- I'm sharing an office with my boss right now and it's making me crazy.

@NCSUchick27: In this situation, I would probably email back and say something like, "I got your vm but am jammed this afternoon. What do you need?" Then I can decide whether it's worth committing to a meeting or not!

@Pumpkin Pie: See, I haaaaaaaate receiving voicemail and assume other people do too. So, if I need to talk to someone and they don't pick up, I usually send an email.

I only do this in situations where I have already established a working rapport with the person.

People who clip their nails. AT THEIR DESK

Talking in the bathroom. I used to have a female boss who would talk to me about my accounts while I peed. I hated her too, so it was awful and I almost went to hr. Thankfully all my coworkers are male at my new job, but there is a receptionist who talks on her cell in the bathroom stall. There are no words..

@blackbird: Yup! The guy a few cubes down from me does that. I used to sit outside of the CFO's office at my last job and he used to do that too!

I have so many.

- inappropriate comments/questions about my appearance and health.
- emailing me about anyone else and how annoyed you are with them. I don't care that they left work 3.5 minutes early.
- trying to find out, in a roundabout way, how much pay I make. NOYB.

I'm sure there are more.

My biggest pet peeve right now is co-workers who want to chat constantly... I really don't care to hear a blow-by-blow of the 3 dates you went on last weekend...

I don't work in an office, but visit a bunch every day.

...bringing your dog to work is gross. Just because I don't want to pet and play with your pet doesn't mean I'm scared of it, it means I don't want it shedding on me or transferring it's dog smell on me.

...eating fragrant food at your desk hurts my nostrils. Unless it's a cookie or pie, please consume your leftovers or take out in the break room.

...hanging up the phone and talking ish about the person that you just spoke to. Do you do that when I call or leave? It's okay to make me wait, you don't have to make a big show about the delay.

I am another voicemail hater. I HATE IT. Please just email me.

There is a woman who sits next to be who doesn't even work full time and is CONSTANTLY making loud personal phone calls. Her children are in high school yet she calls them multiple times a day for important matters like reminding them to eat a snack when they get home. SHOOT ME.

And I actually hate it when people DON'T use Reply All. Obviously not the case for a distribution list. But if I go out of my way to cc someone it's because they need to be looped into the conversation. If you reply to me and only me, then I need to add that person back into the conversation. So frustrating.

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: Its not that I mind email, but I hate when people don'r at least give a brief reason for the call.

I am surprised nobody mentioned this, but loud talkers! I am a loud talker and people love to call me out on it. But I am rarely discussing personal matters, it is usually just work stuff.

I have a coworker who is incapable of having a quick "hi, how are you?" "fine, thanks, how are you?" conversation. She always starts in with a story or a question, and WILL NOT cut the conversation short, even when I am in the act of walking away (I teach, and am often traveling with students, so I can't let them wander off unattended while I catch up on the details of coworker's weekend). I just think it is SO RUDE not to take nonverbal cues that a conversation needs to be over.

I hate when you get in the reply-all loop - one person will accidentally email a distribution list, and then people start reply-alling going "I don't understand why I got this email" "You're trying to contact the wrong person" The worst is when somebody reply-alls to say "Stop reply-alling!"

The guy who sits next to me is REALLY loud on the phone. Also when he makes a phone call he hits speakerphone, dials the phone, listens to it ring, and only picks it up when the person on the other end picks up. It's interesting because it's only work calls - when he makes personal calls he talks really quietly, and every time I think "Oh, you DO have an indoor voice!"

I also find it annoying, although it might be just me, when somebody calls me and starts out with "Hi, it's blahblah, how are you doing?" Did you call to chat? Just tell me what you want!

Mine these days are:

- People who don't bother reading through my emails, but then complain that I haven't sent them the info

- My co-worker who eats smelly canned fish every morning (I am in my first tri and have a really hard time not gagging when I smell it)

I work in a shared space, three shifts share the desks. I hate it when someone throws a partially full coffee into the garbage can under the work stations. I hate the smell of old coffee but also if it's my turn to change the garbage bag and the coffee spills on me. I don't want any of that.

The entire concept of the work fridge drives me crazy but that's another thing all together.

Close talkers. You do not need to be 6 inches from my face to ask me a question.

I had a coworker who marked the majority of her emails as URGENT. Another bossy person would constantly write something along the lines of "please confirm you have received this email and are doing what I have said to do." This was at a very small organization where we could easily talk to one another face to face.

One coworker kept her fake nails long and loved to tap very loudly on her keyboard. Stop!

Ok, this has to be the worse--our graphic designer would sometimes pass gass and then ask someone to come over to look at something on his computer screen. He would try not to laugh. I don't think that's really a work pet peeve--that was more a weird person thing.
