Months 0-3 were probably toughest. Especially weeks 1-3, where she was having feeding issues and I was getting 3 broken hours a night.
I have suffered moderate-severe insomnia in the past, however, and I'm extremely grateful it wasn't an issue with a newborn. I'd take my DD as a newborn over severe insomnia any day.

Months 0-4. He had colic and reflux and it was like I was living a nightmare. I don't know how I functioned! I didn't believe anyone that told me it would get better. Then It was like someone flipped a switch at 4 months and he got MUCH better.

First month. She slept 8 hour stretches by 2 months and has never been one to wake up at night since then. But that first month feeding every 3 hours, eeks.

I'd say newborn-2 months. He never was one to be up every hour or anything (the worst was every 3 hours) but I sure didn't cope well with the sleep disruption. I'm convinced that some moms just have way better coping mechanisms than I did/do.

3.5mo-5.5mo .... it would have ended earlier probably if it wasn't for a vacation. YAY FOR SLEEP TRAINING. Seriously people. Thank you DH for handling every wake-up for 4 nights with a mixing of a little waiting and a lot of back-rubbing. Once LO learned there was no milk at night, he has slept 8pm-6am. hopefully I didn't just jinx it....
