I have been in the care of two male OBGYNs and they were nothing short of fantastic.

I prefer a female obgyn (especially for asking questions) but if I had to see a specialist and the best option was male, I wouldn't be opposed to it.

My OB is male, as are most of the doctors in the practice. Chances are, it will be a man who delivers LO this July. I have no problem with seeing a man for OB/Gyn relates issues.

I prefer female but don't mine male doctors. There are a few in my practice so I may have one deliver my baby. My old OBGYN in Indy was a guy and I really liked him. Somehow I like male docs better if they're old? HAHA. They seem seasoned. For a GP though or anyone not going into my ladyparts I don't mind, I think just with OB stuff women doctors are able to understand everything just the TINIEST bit more.

Generally, I prefer women. I had a bad experience with a male gyno in college and had women ever since....until right now, where the most "recommended" practice here is mostly men with 1 woman. I like the woman, and like 2 of the men....the last male doctor I saw was a straight up nightmare. I'm considering switching practices just because of him.

So yeah....female all the way for me here (for ob/gyn stuff). I also have GERD and have been to numerous specialists related to that, and all have been male and have been great.

I have a male Obgyn now, and I vastly prefer him to the 2 females I've had in the past. He's much more sensitive and understanding, and has a great sense of humor!

My first OB was male. He was fantastic. When I switched to OBs in Chicago, I picked the first one. He was awful. Just hated him. I switched practices when I got married to a woman doctor I adore. During my labor, I had one of the male doctors of the practice get through until almost delivery. The attending female doctor delivered my LO, so I had a mix of it during labor & delivery.
