Sounds like shes started teething to me. C started at 2 months old with very similar symptoms, she had her first 2 teeth by 4 months.

Sounds like pretty typical baby stuff. My rule of thumb is if they become more fussy, have a fever or stop eating then go ahead and call.

K does the same thing especially fists in mouth. I chalked it up to teething because she is still her normal, happy self.

I would call the Ped if you noticed a change in behavior, but if not I'd say it's normal.

@PrincessBaby: excess drool can also cause vomiting because it can upset the pH balance in their tummies. And yeah, I thought C was too young for it too but she definitely proved me wrong! It was craziness.

@PrincessBaby: they usually protect their airway pretty well! I'm not so sure about the teething, though it is a possibility. This is around the time when babies start making more secretions and learning how to swallow them, and sometimes it can be hard for them to manage, so that might be a factor.

@PrincessBaby: as long as you can hear her well from her crib you should be fine. SIDS is not caused by choking on secretions or spit up. If a baby were to have that kind of event it would be assigned a different cause.
