This was us last week! But it was dh and I that got sick not ds. I scrubbed every inch of the bathrooms with bleach, and washed everything we touched. No one got sick after the party and our parents stayed for the weekend and also didn't get sick.

If she doesn't have any more symptoms and the rest of you don't get sick Id say it's ok!

I voted yes because I live in daily fear of Norovirus, it's no joke. But if you're going to keep it as scheduled I would say just let everyone know beforehand so they can decide if they want to risk it.

I wouldn't cancel, but I would bleach the heck out of your house.

Poor C I hope she's all better now! I guess my big concern would be that all of you have been exposed and it can take a day or two for someone to actually get sick after exposure, so there is a chance one of you could come down with it yet today or tonight. That being said though, I would probably just continue ahead with the party as planned, after cleaning thoroughly, and hope for the best!

Fingers crossed all stay healthy and the party goes smoothly!

Sounds like she is on the mend and hopefully with all the hand washing this is the extent of it! I'd sanitize like crazy and plan to keep the party.

Did she have a fever?

I try to go by the daycare rules: 24 hours after a fever or vomiting. If she seems sick today, there's no guarantee she'll be better tomorrow.

I'd cancel, or reach out to everyone, explain the situation, and let them have the chance to bow out ... I wouldn't bring my LO.

I worry about this stuff a lot and would be bummed if my kids (or myself) caught something so I would just let people know and let them decide!

I voted cancel, sorry she was sick My answer is based on this experience: We planned to have family gathering at our home for a few days in January 2 years ago. My DS was throwing up for a day or so about 10 days before everyone was going to arrive. I got it 36 hours later and called in sick to work for the first and only time ever. Then DH got it. He sanitized everything with bleach and we were super conscientious about washing hands. When family started coming over a week after we were all over it, everyone ended up getting the same thing except the two who had had something similar a couple of months before. We felt so terrible, especially since a couple had wanted to cancel based on the GI illness and SIL and I (both medical professionals) said, "No! You should still come! There is no danger!" Norovirus was rampant at the time too, which I think is one of the more severe bugs and is surely what we had.

I would cancel based on the last stomach bug we dealt with - my son hadn't thrown up for two days and then my husband got sick. We were bleaching everything and he still got it I have a puke phobia so I'd appreciate a heads-up as a guest if you decide to go on with the party.

I voted don't cancel but after my son just went through his third round of the bug in 3 weeks I vote cancel. We had his bday party after he had been symptom free for a few days and I think we just got lucky that nobody got sick because he was sick again 3 days later

Id especially tell those in contact with newborns not to come if you don't cancel.

I'm in the cancel it crowd. We went to a party without knowing the family had been sick a week prior. I missed a week of work taking care of DH and DD and then got all of travelgirl's family sick despite hours of scrubbing our place from top to bottom.

@BabyBoecksMom: we cancelled Q and B's party three weeks ago because of this! We are in Houston this weekend, for our take two! It's such a tough decision! Hope your sweet little baby feels better soon!
