This weekend, we were at the Flea Market and saw a woman walking around with her son, husband and a toilet. I'm guessing they were potty training but that seemed a bit excessive to me.
Would you walk around with your child's potty while potty training?

We stored it under the stroller. Now that he's comfortable on big potties tho, we don't carry it around anymore!

Without kids right now, it's really easy for me to say no way, I'd never. Talk to me in a few years though...

Yeah, I've seen this at family gatherings, one of my husband's cousins was potty training their son and they brought their own potty. I guess you do what you've got to do!

My question about that is where do you bust it out? In the middle of the Flea Market? I could see keeping one in the car and setting it up there but I wouldn't want DD peeing in the middle of a Flea Market or other public place.

I'm not at the potty training stage yet so its easy for me to say no but once I get to that stage we will see how it goes

Hahahaha, nope, we just let DD pee on a bush. 
We never carried her potty with us. She would either go on a big toilet (if we were in a place there was access to a restroom), or we'd just hold her while she peed on the nearest bush/tree (if there were no bathrooms nearby).

I wouldn't want to carry one around and like @Andrea said, I don't get where you would take it out to use...

What I've witnessed is just lining the potty with a plastic bag, and then putting it alongside a building, near somewhere that's somewhat private and either shielded by the parent or a blanket. I mean, I wouldn't like all of my hard work just to be unraveled because I couldn't be bothered or couldn't sort out simple logistics. I think the bigger of a deal we make things, the bigger they become.

Some kids are scared of a regular toilet at first, so their mom might just have them use it in the bathroom like a normal person, but have the little potty to make it less scary for the kid. It can be hard for little kids to use adult size toilets- their little butts are so tiny! So, I don't think the mom was necessarily going to have the kid use it in the middle of the flea market or anything.
