My 11 month old didn't nap today. He cried from 9:15 to 10:15 (I started with checks but stopped because they didn't seem to help). He cried from 1:15 to 2:15. He stood the entire time (except when I put him down during the first checks).
Needless to say, it was pure torture and I shed some tears myself. I really don't know if I could or even should try again tomorrow. We were going to night train too, but I don't know if I could or even should??
So discouraged!
I think sleep training at the same time is a good idea, because his exhaustion will help him get to sleep. Nap training and sleep training teach the same thing--not to rely on you as a sleep crutch. He has to learn it for both, anyway, so personally I think doing it at the same time will mean less tears for him and you.
