Probably not, but that's mostly because my LO gets carsick. We would probably do it if it was for my niece or nephew though.

Eh, as long as the weather is good. I would not want to do a drive like that to hang out in the elements.

Great info, thank you! This would be in June and I know it is totally dependent on the weather. We are lucky that she has an earlyish June birthday to allow for outdoor parties. We would only be inviting 3 children and their parents. 2 are close, one we plan on talking to about it beforehand to feel them out. We wouldn't just drop an invite in the cubby and run (this is a daycare friend).

We have a lot of family and friends within 30-90 minutes of us so we regularly drive that distance. I will say we had a family birthday party for my son that was about 1-1 1/2 hour drive for many people and we got A LOT of complaints!

I wouldn't drive that far, personally, unless it was family or maybe a really, really close friend. DH actually really wants to take DS to the zoo this summer but I don't want to do a drive that far for a day when there are other cool things a lot closer! (DS is not a fan of the car, though.)

I am 45 min away from the zoo and we have been to a birthday party there. I think if you invite close friends they will come for a fun day.

@mediagirl: I drive 2 hrs for each of my nephews' bdays every year. House party.
But for non family about 45 min to an hour is my limit
