@Pollywog: Yeah, we thought about that but DH just got laid off (today is actually his last day at work. ) Now I am just hoping I don't get sick.

@simplyfelicity: If daddy is saying he can handle it I would go, I would hate to disappoint my friend being MOH and as long as his condition doesn't worsen I would let my husband handle it so I could support my friend.

@simplyfelicity: You are the MOH, I think that you have to go. The baby will be home with DH, so your LO will be taken care of.

Honestly, I would go. It's hours away and you're the MOH. A solo weekend with a sick kid is tough, but not impossible. DH went away to a bachelor party one weekend when our LO #1 was about 18-20 months old I think. LO #1 was cuddly and not himself that weekend. I was up at my parents, so we went to immediate care and found out that he had his first ear infection. It was a really tough weekend, but I got through it. Your DH can do the same.
