I have a job interview tomorrow early afternoon and I feel horrible. Pressure headache, drainage, stuffy, runny nose, and sore throat. Would you still go to the interview? Where are my HR bees?
BTW- I'm also 30 weeks pregnant, so is that going to be two strikes against me if I still go?

I would. I don't think rescheduling an interview goes over very well unless there are extreme circumstances.

I agree with the other ladies, it would be best to still go. I'm not in recruiting but I do know that it's rare for someone to get a job offer when they have to reschedule.

I did go to an interview sick several years ago. I was working with a recruiter so I asked her advice, she tried to reschedule but it was the only time the manager was available so I went. I got the job. I think they felt bad that I wasn't feeling well and didn't hold it against me.
Do they know you are pregnant? Just curious I would be surprised but it wouldn't change my opinion of you. It's hard to find the right person so something totally normal like having a child would not take away from the right person for me. I'm not a recruiter but have been doing some interviewing lately.

I would go. Do your best today to spend some time by the humidifier, get plenty of fluids and rest!

@MOMTOLITTLEB: Thank you! They do not know I'm pregnant. I can still hide my belly enough in the right outfit, so I plan on doing so. It's funny because I used to work for this company a little over a year ago in another position, but this position is a dream, so I hope I get it. It's with a man though, so I'm not sure if he's more likely to discriminate if he found out I were pregnant?

@MarieJ: I'd definitely hide it and you have no reason to tell him otherwise. I interviewed while pregnant and told them when I accepted the offer (I didn't end up taking the job though)

I would still go and hide the pregnancy. It isn't something you should bring up until after you accept an offer.

I rescheduled an interview when I was sick but I had stomach flu and was throwing up and highly contagious. The recruiter did not mind and they didn't hold it against me.

@MarieJ: Do you have a fever? I think having a fever would really make me reschedule.
I'm not sure. I'm torn, though. I would be afraid that I would not be clear headed enough to make it a 'hit it out of the park' interview.
Also, as for your pregnancy, is this a position that you want to take before or after you give birth. They might be okay with waiting or hiring you while you are pregnant. I guess it depends on how bad they want you.

@bluestriped bee: No, thankfully, I don't have a fever. I was planningo n preparing "extra" Since I'm under the weather.
I was hoping they would take me before my maternity leave and then I come back afterwards. I do plan on taking 12 weeks, so I'm not sure they would want to wait that long to have someone fill the position.
Hopefully, it'll all work out.

@MarieJ: I'm sure you know this, but FMLA only covers your job if you have been with a company for one year. So if you are not quite at that mark, they aren't obligated to keep your job. 
(At least, that is what I read when I was job hunting year ago.)
I hope it all works out, too.
