@StbHisMrs: It's not an inconvenient time for me but the shower is about 45 minutes from where I live.

@MapleMoose: See, that was my thought, too. We could've connected more personally before inviting me to her shower. I don't even have her number or where she lives though so I am not sure how I could try and connect with her that way.

@Synchronicity: Well, the co-worker's wife didn't say anything but DH told me he thinks the mom to be doesn't many friends which makes me feel guilty for not going.

@Anagram: That's a great point! And I could see the wife being this type. She seems to know everyone - very social! Maybe that's the case here.

@LuLu Mom: I was thinking about putting an outfit together with a small practical item to send to the mom to be at her house if I can get her address from the co-worker's wife.
