I think I would! I secretly wanted twins for my first pregnancy. So I think I still would want multiples for my second pregnancy.
Anyone else?

Only pregnant with 1 but I think I'd have felt more mentally prepared if we found out that we were having twins now than if we found that out with #1. Though I'm already worried about how LO1 will handle having a baby who needs a lot of attention, so I guess that would worry me.

I both really want and really don't want twins next time around. I want twins because that would mean twice the children in half the time (sort of). Plus that would mean we'd definitely have that 3rd child that I want. Buuuuuut, twins scare me. A lot. The sleep deprivation alone scares me like crazy, let alone the idea of chasing 2 toddlers at once, making space for twins in our tiny house, etc.
IF it were possible to try for twins, I'd pass, probably. But if it just happened, I could see enough really awesome things about it that I'd be happy.
DH was convinced we were having twins during my pregnancy with X. He actually asked the ultrasound tech at our first ultrasound where the other baby was. He wasn't joking.

Yep, I wouldn't have minded! And now with pregnancy #3, I wouldn't mind again. I think it would be the coolest, hardest thing ever. But then I could be DONE with the baby stage!

I dont even know if I'll have the opportunity to have another pregnancy, but yes, twins would be neat. I've always thought they would be challenging but amazing. At one time I was a nanny for infant twin boys and I loved it.

Absolutely! I wanted twins first and I still want twins as long as one is a girl. Because 3 is our max number of kids.

If I found out I was having twins I would cry everytime someone asked how I was! Seriously.... Scares to poop out of me!

I definitely am NOT hoping for multiples for any pregnancies... it sounds so overwhelming!! DH jokes about it though!
DH's uncle had a baby girl (she's 6 now), and then less than a year after she was born, they found out his wife was pregnant with twins. I remember they said they cried after finding out... and they weren't happy tears at all!

Absolutely! That is how it happened for my parents. They had me then they had my twin sisters. It was perfect because my dad really wanted 3 kids but my mom refused to give birth more than twice. It was a win win! I have always wanted twins and since this pregnancy we are only having 1 I would love twins next time. Its pretty unlikely I will though.

NO. I am in awe of mothers of multiples. I'm exhausted and I only have one. The thought of 2 or 3 at once terrifies me.

I would love it and hate it!!! Secretly, I'd love 4 kids, 2 girls 2 boys. But I already have one set and don't think I could handle another!!!

Nope DH and I marvel at how terrified we'd be if that happened! I have twin nieces and I have no clue how my sister does it.

No way. I would have been excited if I had had twins with my first pregnancy. The thought of having twins and a toddler terrifies me.

Only if DH swore in blood we could move to the same city as my mom so I would have help. Or we could afford a nanny.

I was praying for twins this pregnancy. Second pregnancy? No way! I don't want 3 kids, and I would have liked them the first time because I would only have one pregnancy for 2 kids

We thought we were 'one and done' but have left the option to maaaaaybe have a second in a few years. If I were to get pregnant with multiples I'd be pretty upset

I am in awe of mothers of multiples! But I would not wish for multiples for my first, second or any subsequent pregnancies. I want to enjoy each of my children one at a time.

After what I've gone through recently, I do secretly wish that if I try again, I end up with twins, even though we say we'd only try for one more. But, I feel like I'm kinda owed it, lol.

Yes! There is a possibility my first pregnancy was twins and I m/c one...I always think about what might have been. I would love twins and then be done!

Nope! I'm always amazed at women who can handle multiples but I don't think I'm one of them! I'd be pretty freaked out if that happened!

I was terrified of having multiples. LO#1 was such a tough baby that I can't imagine what two would be like together!

Because I want to have three and am compromising to 2, I think it would be awesomely in my favor to have twins. Although, I can't imagine spending more time nursing thsn I did with one newborn while having another child around!!

Yes!
We want 3 kids and it would be amazing to be done next round! Also, I was on bedrest for #1 and might be for #2 so even more reason to want to only go through it again only one more time. On the other hand, DS was a peanut and I bet if I had twins they would be just TINY.

I wouldn't mind twins bc then I'd be done. But triplets would be scary.
My BFF is expecting triplets this summer. I've been watching Make Room for Multiples in preparation, ha. I text her every time there's a really awesome outcome or something she's voiced concerns about.

I'd be happy either way. I do want 3 kids but I don't think it will happen due to financial reasons and my health problems...... so that way I would get my way. But it's so much work just to take care of one, and I would still want time for LO.

Eeek, no way! I'd be terrified of handling 2 babies at once, and plus we'd have to buy more of all the gear we need doubles of rather than reusing LO's stuff. Not to mention child care for 3 kids would break us!
GOLD / cantaloupe / 6581 posts
Nooope. Mostly because I was the older sister of two twin girls and I didn't like the family dynamic; didn't work for me! So hopefully if we have a baby #2, it'll just be a singleton!

I have mixed emotions about it. I would be thrilled with multiples just like I would with any baby, but it also makes me nervous. My fears cone from what friends have experienced. From watching several friends, I know parenting a toddler and multiples is really really really hard. And I'm scared I would be on bed rest for a long time. One friend was in the hospital on bed rest from weeks 22-37.

I thought twins would be nice but I am already on LO #3 and if this one turns out to be 2 or more I think I would be terrified. So it would be a 4 year old, 23 month old and newborns. Not sure if I would be prepared for that lol.

I love our babies. Love, love, love them. Can't imagine what life would be like without them. BUT OMG...if you want twins, have them as your first. I cannot imagine doing this with another LO running around, but I CAN imagine doing it now. Part of me fantasizes about how easy it would be having just one...
pomegranate / 3388 posts
Absolutely not! I would have been ok w/ twins for my first pregnancy, but given I only want two kids total, I would not be too happy with a twin pregnancy as my second.

No way! I'm currently 11 weeks with #2 and our first appointment is not until next week. I'm secretly living in fear that the doctor will say there is more than one in there.
I apparently lost a twin early on when pregnant with my first...so it could happen.
