Nope! We are considering having 3 babies, but I want to do them 1 at a time! I like the pregnant and newborn periods too much, and if we has twins next there is no way DH would agree to having another baby.

NO THANK YOU. Seriously, please no.
I spent time recently with a friend who has a preschooler, twin toddlers, and is unexpectedly expecting again. She also has other life stresses like unemployment and such. But I was really struck by how little attention she was able to give her twins - just because of how much her older one needed, and the limited energy she has. It really made me appreciate how much focused attention I'm able to give my one daughter - I sure don't take that for granted.

No thank you! We want three kids but I want to enjoy each one separately. I loved being pregnant and loved the newborn period. I don't want to lose the opportunity to have those special moments three separate times by having two at once. With our current lifestyle, four kids would really be putting a strain on us, so if we had twins next, we'd probably be done and i'd be gutted. I want my three separate pregnancies and three separate newborn periods!

I let out a huge sigh of relief when my OB said there was only one heart beat on my second pregnancy. Twins are so tough. I don't know if I could have survived it a second time around.

No! I was terrified that I was preggers with multiples when I got pregnant with #2....but that could be because they will be 15 months apart

I wouldn't mind. As long as it wasn't twin boys, please.

I always thought I wanted multiples. But after seeing how much work 1 is, I don't know if I would want to have more at a time!

These responses crack me up! I am so glad we had twins first. While it's been easier than I expected (so far), I don't know any different since I've never had just one baby. If I'd had one and then twins, I'd know how much harder it was! That being said, I LOVE my baby boys and can't imagine anything else. But because we're terrified of having twins again, I'm 99.9% sure we're two and through. I can't imagine we'd be blessed again with another set of twins as easy as these two have been.

i thought i wanted twins with my first pregnancy but i distinctly remember in the first couple of weeks of postpartum saying out loud "how do parents do with with two (or more!) babies do it?!)
if i happen to get pregnant with multiples next time i would be happy but really really really scared.
