For family pictures? What jewelry would you pair it with? I feel like it makes me look boxy up top so I'm not sure I want it I. Our family pictures. Thoughts??

It looks great on you, but I would wear something non-printed for pictures (that's always what our photographer tells us).

I actually like prints in pictures (but I'm not a professional photog or anything so you may just ask your photog about it.) I think the top would look less boxy if you have your hair down- having your hair down would soften it- do you have longer hair?

I dont honestly think it's super flattering. I agree with your feelings about the top.

@loveisstrange: I agree-- it's a pretty dress, but I do think the straight across strapless look is really hard to pull off and can look boxy. But maybe adding a bigger necklace would soften it / break up the straight line?

No, I think the bust area looks a bit strange. It's a cute dress, though.

Thanks! I would wear my hair down for sure but might save this for a date night instead of family pictures...

you're really tiny and this dress does not do you justice.
I also think prints look pretty in pictures (as long as everyone isn't in prints), but I think you can find something that shows off your awesome body much better.

@Rainbow Sprinkles: dawwwww ️
So who can help me find an outfit that is not too flashy (this print is about as crazy as I go!) and not too expensive?? I know a lot of you have bigger budgets than mine but we be broke homies!!!!

@babyjmama: You can maybe tack the centre of the top so you get more of a modified sweetheart? Look for a chunk yellow statement necklace

Do you have a thick belt that you could belt under the bust line for more definition?

I think the print is fine, but as a general rule never wear strapless in pictures unless it's a formal gown. It never turns out in the picture like it looks in person...

@rahlyrah: I was just thinking a thick belt might help with the bust area!

@rahlyrah: I thought the same thing. Then with her hair down and a chunky necklace, it would totally work.

For photographs, I like something with at least a couple inches of sleeve and a skirt that hits just above the knee or longer. Things that look good in the mirror just turn... weird... under the lens.

What @Rainbow Sprinkles said. You have a hot bod, and the dress is pretty, but it doesn't show off your tiny waist.
As a photographer, prints are totally fine... as long you aren't all in crazy prints. Strapless usually looks better in person. And, the most important: if you're comfortable/feel pretty, that will translate the most on camera. A happy, comfortable woman can make a burlap sack look good in pictures.
There are a ton of cute, cheap maxis at Old Navy. These are my favorites (they're all available in other colors - the last one I just wore in yellow):

@babyjmama: personal question are you wearing a bra in this picture? I think the boobs could use a little more "oomf!" I say if you feel pretty, wear it! I bet it looks different in person than in this photograph and a good photographer will make you look great anyways!

@loveisstrange: @Foodnerd81: thank you for your honest feedback! That's what I wanted!!
@babycanuck: I'll test it with a safety pin tonight!
@rahlyrah: I will look in my closet, I'm the least fashionable person ever so probably not
@septca: good to know! I have some cute ankle pants...maybe I'll go with those? I'm so fashionably challenged!
@photojane: that's where I bought the dress! I might try those on.....!!
@cmomma17: sadly it's my most padded bra LOL...my boobs are nonexistent girl!! Ain't nothin goin on up there.

@babyjmama: There's a suspicious red party cup on your tub.
I think you look good in the strapless dress, but would look even better in the white with black one @photojane posted.

@babyjmama: I think it looks really cute but I'd probably pick something else for pictures too. I love any of the ones that @photojane posted!

@oliviaoblivia: OH haha!!! That's J's water cup I was thinking 'what did I say that came out like I was drunk?!' Quickly followed by 'I wish I was drunk!'
I'm at work...took this last night

@babyjmama: Haha! I didn't even think of it that way! I was just jealous that you had 32 oz. of wine at 3pm.
cantaloupe / 6634 posts
@babyjmama: I can tell you have a lovely figure but I don't think this dress is really flattering you as much as it could. Something a bit more defining would be good.
Also, this photo makes me want to have a drink

@babyjmama: I agree with others - you are smokin' hot and this dress does not do you justice. I love the neckline of the blue ON dress @photojane posted (second from the bottom) and think that, or something similar, would look fab on you.
grapefruit / 4089 posts
I don't think it shows off your great figure enough! I'm positive that you can find something inexpensive to replace it with. I looove the white dress that @photojane posted.
