I've been thinking of getting my feet wet.
Where did you start with woven wraps?
Any recos for a newbie.
I wear DD a lot and have far more baby carriers than I expected.
I'd like to do some back carries.

I've only used conversions with LO, but my favorites have been made from Didymos wraps. I'll probably start wrapping the new baby with a Didy, too.

I started with a size 5 Kokadi in 100% cotton. I have a little stash now with a few different sizes and blends, and I think hemp is my fav. Hoping @MrsTwine pops in and can tell you what blend is the most toddler worthy
Since you're my FB friend, do you want me to add you to the big BW swap and the BW chat/learning group (if you're not already)? That's where I learned the most.
Babywearing Faith and Wrapping Rachel make great tutorial videos! They're on YouTube.

@grizz: Thanks! I'm actually in both, but find they're a bit too experienced for me. I need wovens for dummies.

@oliviaoblivia: Do you have a meetup anywhere around you? That's where I got over the learning curve!
Most people have a base size of a 5 or 6, so I would start with that length. I've also heard to start with a striped design, so that you can see which rails you need to tighten. My first back carry was just a ruck, and I think you can learn that even without a meetup! Its still my go-to.
Also - I'm secretly super excited that someone else is coming to the dark side

Linen and hemp are considered the most toddler-worthy, but there are exceptions to every rule. I'd start there, though. Right now Oschas are really competitively priced on the swap. Those are probably my favorite out of the big names.

Ditto on Oscha. I have Kokadi, Didymos, Natibaby, and Oscha and Oscha is my fav.

Just wanted to give this a bump! Any other woven wrap mamas out there? I'd love to hear more input.

I'm just getting into wrapping, so I'm not much on woven advice. I recieved my Lenny Lamb Blue Lagoon in the mail today. Can't wait to wash it up and give it a shot!

I love, love, love my Natibaby wraps. I have 3 - an all cotton, a cotton/hemp blend, and a bamboo/linen blend. DS is 14m and 27 pounds, and so far, I prefer the all cotton one by far. It was so easy to "break in" and is super soft. I'm having a hard time getting the others to be so soft!
