Part of it may be people catching up from the holiday weekend, a bit of it due to the Gold feature, and just a lot of interesting posts to comment on.

I usually read and post here and there but I know that I've been making more of an effort today to actually post responses. For me I'm making the effort because I really want the classic boards to stay active
Eta: I came to the realization that if I want to keep getting the board content I'm used to I have to make an effort too!

@Running Elley: I've been trying to start a lot of threads today (classic only) to keep things as normal as possible, like you are mentioning. Not sure if it is working or not.

For me -I was on a lot because work was SUPER slow - lots of people out due to school vacation! Plus, after the long weekend no one wants to work!

I find that I post more when I see the boards are more active, even though I generally check the boards daily.

Between being off work last week for strep throat, and 3 snow days this week I've been going a bit stir crazy and have a lot of time on my hands! If only I could channel that into something positive like cleaning...

@mrbee: Do you think all the action is causing things to run slow? All other sites are working fine for me, but HB is extremely slow. It was yesterday too, but I have never had issues before. Maybe coincidental?

@Bao: I noticed your comment yesterday and we definitely are experiencing higher server loads! But the site feels pretty snappy to me... not sure how to explain the discrepancy.
We're investigating things now though, and if traffic stays high then we may have to upgrade our servers.

@Bao: It seems to be running slow to me too. I did close out of Mozilla and reopened it and it seems a little better. I haven't noticed it on any other site today.

Gosh, the posting levels are just nuts though. What's most amazing (to me) is that we're seeing a lot more non-gold posts too! Maybe a rising tide (powered by Gold) is lifting all ships (including classic posts)?

I know for me, I'm posting a bunch because I'm close to my due date and I suddenly feel like I have sooooooo many questions!!!
And I do think the Gold feature is allowing me to post things (specifically pictures) that I normally wouldn't!
