DH recently won a trip to Texas for a "sports weekend". It includes flight, shmancy hotel, NHL and NFL tickets. We live in Ontario Canada. DH is a huge NHL and NFL fan so needless to say he is ecstatic that he won this mini getaway.
Here is where it gets a bit complicated. LO was born only a month ago and would be 3 months when we would travel. I need to get his passport and figure out the logistics of what we would bring (stroller? car seat?). The trip is only for 3 days. I have always wanted to go to Texas and was thrilled when I found out - now I am wondering if it is even worth the hassle. Would you go or should I have DH invite a friend and have him enjoy himself?
LO and I wouldn't be going to the NFL game (too crazy!) but we could go to the NHL game. LO is EBF. I was thinking we could extend the trip by a day or two because I would like to see some sights and enjoy some time there since I am not a huge sports fan. This also means DH would go to the NFL game by himself.
So... do I go on the trip with LO? or stay home and have him enjoy himself with a friend?
ETA - I would need to rent a car to get around and do things while DH was at the game.. I guess I would bring the car seat with us? can I check that on the plane? I wouldn't want to pay for LO to have an extra seat.
Is it even worth the hassle?
WWYD?
ETA- with the current arrangement it's looking like we might fly in Saturday morning (possibly Friday) and fly back on Monday.
