I would not call the police!!! But I would have her son explain to her what the boundaries are. And I wouldn't ask for any help from her again.

I would be completely shocked!!! I’d have my husband talk to her and make her aware that it was NOT okay. We’d be very wary about her being with our baby unattended and I think it would take quite a while before I could get over it.

OH EM GEE!! That's just bizarre! I wouldn't call the police, but would definitely make sure the hubby set her straight and not allow her to be with the baby alone in the future.

Wow I hope this didnt really happen. I wouldnt like that at all. But I think calling the police is extreme. i would never leave my baby with her again though

I'm confused. Wouldn't the baby still be crying if they weren't getting any milk out of the boob? I agree with everyone else. No police, but she would never be allowed alone with my LO again. Luckily I know this would never happen to me.

@artbee: Maybe the baby was sucking the nipple as a pacifier and was enjoying the body heat and sound of heartbeat. My baby sometimes wants to nurse not out of hunger but just to be soothed.

Creepy. I wouldn't call the police but have her leave in the morning and explain to her boundaries.

There was an episode of "Bored to Death" where Zach Galifianakis offered his nipple to a screaming toddler and it worked. Still, that would never occur to me!!

Yikes, that's really weird. I would probably snap on MIL right then and there. I wouldn't just take my baby and go away and I wouldn't be able to let DH talk to her at some later point. I would freak out right then and there. Probably make her leave the house immediately too. Obviously I wouldn't call the cops, but I also would take care of matters myself and tell DH about it but make sure that I let her know where the boundries are.
