Yeah, that's what my neighbor said to me. Our garbage can is right outside our back door and I'd just tossed a full bag in and closed the lid when I hear him yelling over the fence that I shouldn't be doing that while pregnant.

I have a lady at work who always polices my lunch. It drives me nuts!
So far, I am a horrible mother for eating a fat-free turkey dog, Gatorade, and putting Crystal Light in my water.

Hm. Our neighbours don't know I'm pregnant yet but I think they would have said that when I was out shovelling knee deep snow!
My boss said I shouldn't be carrying files to and from the file room, any heavy ones and he puts them away for me.

The ladies at my work always tell me I'm not allowed to take the mail boxes we get back to the library (I'm a librarian). Fine with me----there's only like, 3 men in the entire building, but one of them gets roped into doing it for me. Score!

I got chastised by my MIL for shoveling snow after our blizzard last month. We got 29 inches and my DH was at work for over 24 hours. What was I supposed to do?

As for behaviors.. my co-worker gasps dramatically every time she sees me carrying books. Um, I work in a library, it's unavoidable! She was also horrified that I was going to help my DH with lawn work this weekend *cue BIG eye roll here*

@Bookworm: I drink soda almost everyday. It makes me feel better so I don't care. I don't drink coffee so I think it evens out.
I'm a school librarian so the kids don't care if I carry too many books. Haha.

@swedishfish: I drink my fair share of soda, too. It has way less caffeine than coffee, which I gave up completely, so I feel okay with it.
Other than what I should or shouldn't eat, I get a lot of grief about being on my feet so much, lifting anything, and bending to pick up anything. I work a pretty physically demanding job, so that's where I get the most "you shouldn't be...." But no one vet offers any help, so what can you do? I count it as exercise and count down the days til maternity leave

These threads always make me so thankful for my friends/family/coworkers! I have not had ANY comments about the coffee I've started drinking again, sodas, lunch meats, hot dogs (and I went through a craving stage where I ate gross processed turkey-cheese hotdogs every day for almost a week at lunch--sooo good by the way!).
I ate sushi once and even my husband didn't care, and I ate runny eggs yesterday and the waiter eyed my tummy a little but didn't say anything (he was french and the place was french, so maybe that's why?)
Anyway, so far, so good! It makes me so sad to hear about all these busybodies that are around! But also grateful to not have experienced it myself so far.

I got told off by a co-worker for reaching into a cupboard in the kitchen to get my cup off the top shelf! She said I should have asked someone to get it down for me! Ridiculous but super sweet!

When I was at a party (with waiters walking around with appetizers) someone literally took a CALIFORNIA ROLL out of my hand. I took it from the plate as it came by, put it to my mouth, and it was taken from my hand before I could take a bite. "Pregnant women can't have sushi" I was told.

Hanging laundry. My grandma told me this and then told me a story of a family member who's baby was strangled by the umbilical cord because she was lifting her arms over her head while hanging laundry. It freaked me out a little. I googled it and it's not true, in case you were wondering.

My FIL gets on to me for raising my arms over my head. So annoying.
My boss won't let me carry ANYTHING - even a teeny tiny file. I've also had people give me crap over coffee, COOKED sushi, and wearing heels. Luckily it hasn't been too bad! Just a few comments here and there, mostly by older people.

Ugh, hate this! I shouldn't be standing up...while waiting 10 minutes for a table at a restaurant. Apparently pregnant women don't ever need to stand or walk anywhere; they should be on the couch 24/7.

- wearing heels
- sitting in a car for an extended amount of time
- being on my feet so much at the shop

@Alivoo01: Crossing your legs can cause spider veins supposedly, but it's not going to kill you! I've been trying really hard not to cross mine because I have giant stretch marks on my stomach now and I figure that's enough grossness on my body from pregnancy!

Working out! Lifting more than 40 pounds, doing pull ups, running, etc.
Oh, listening to my doctor, lol. My dad says i'm foolish for listening to her advice so much!!!
Otherwise, people leave me alone! Or just mess with me a little bit in a teasing-but-not-serious manner. It'd probably be bad if i worked with a bunch of women. Men stay out of my business! In the beginning, my husband questioned things but now knows i'm educated on the topic.

Shoveling- my neighbor yelled at me then came over and plowed my driveway!
Also i get yelled at for carrying my work bag into and out of work. Its not that heavy- and I NEED to bring in my lunch and files for the day!

My DH won't let me vacuum, lift ANYTHING, my co workers make me get up and walk every hour (I sit all day), and I get crap when ppl see me carrying a starbucks cup but they don't know it's decaf and sugar free so don't judge! lol
