I'm setting up a wish list on Amazon for Sadie's first Christmas (and birthday). I won't share the wishlist - it's just a resource to pull from. I like that it gives me a place to put ideas when I think of them. People have already started asking about a Christmas list, and I'd love to have some ideas to give them!
So, what are your 12-18-month-old's favorite toys? What do you recommend?

Jake has a barn w/a chicken head on the top (lord if anyone has a picture it would help make me sound less crazy!) That thing plays music and has animal sounds...its like crack! He's 16 months.:)

@swurlygurl: I have a KidKraft kitchen & little accessories on the wish list. I've been planning on getting that for her first birthday since before she was born. I'm so lame. haha

@babyjmama: I googled "toy barn with chicken head"... surprise, I didn't find anything. Those little people toys are a great suggestion though. I forgot about those. Adding!

My son loves his B toy drum and it's filled with lots of other instruments. Plus it has a lid, so it's good when going other places too.

At 15 months, my lo has just started getting interested in her Little People. We have a different barn, one with a silo, and she likes to dump the animals and farmer into it and pull them out of the bottom.
Other good things: shape sorter, stacking blocks, play kitchen and play food, things to push around the house like a stroller or a grocery cart. OH and bouncing, riding toys. We have a rocking horse and a bouncy/rocking horse. She loves the ones that bounce and rock. They have these at daycare, too and all the kids in the 1's room love it - from 1 - 2 years old and I bet they would love it longer than that, too!!
We are giving her megablocks for Christmas. I see she uses some like them at daycare so, I'm excited to get them to her to start playing with some at home!!

E isn't super interested in toys, but he loves his toy xylophone (it came in a band set, but it's the only instrument he's interested in) and a little FP toy laptop. Oh and his water table has been a huge hit.
I'm planning on getting him a play kitchen for Christmas, and as much as he loves opening and closing things I think it'll be a hit.
