LO 1 - reflux, the witching hour every night
LO 2 - breastfeeding... we had oversupply issues and he would scream and arch his back and sputter and latch/delatch/latch/delatch. I cried a lot, it was so frustrating.

Sleep patterns of LO killing the sleep DH and I get. It can be rough not to snip at one another when you're so tired.

Sleep and breastfeeding. I was constantly longing for the former and struggling with the latter.

Engorgement. My boobs were always full and always leaking.

My own recovery! The first time was a 4th degree tear and the 2nd time was a c-section, the first time was scary I had complications and knew no one who had been through it so I felt very alone. The c-section recovery was typical but challenging for me as I also had a 18 month old. Both of my newborns were "easy," no breastfeeding issues and even though I was sleep deprived I had very low expectations so any sleep was great!

    1- latching on
    1- supply

Breastfeeding. I have a good supply but that's the only thing we have going for us. But I'm still happy he's gaining weight and healthy just from my breastmilk even though it feels like my nipples have been chewed on and I'm engorged and leaking all the time.

Baby blues also snuck up just a little bit recently. But not too bad.

LO 1: colic caused by undiagnosed tongue and lip ties.
LO 2: she's so much easier than LO 1, I just can't complain.

Breastfeeding! We had latch issues, tongue tie, vasospasms and all around lots if awfulness! Crabiosacral therapy worked wonders but I didn't go until DD was about 7 weeks old. It was a long 7 weeks of EPing, setting alarms in the middle of the night to pump before she woke up.

Supply issues = DS being attached to the boob = anxiety = major baby blues = not eating/drinking enough at times = supply issues (or didn't help at least) = viscous cycle.

Good thing they're the cutest things we've ever seen, right?!

    First week- severe jaundice/NICU stay.
Following three weeks (and months...) - colic.

Breastfeeding and sleep were both non-issues for us, thank God. He was a tough cookie as a newborn though. I hope and pray that LO#2 is easier.
