DD blew out her diaper through a onesie and onto DH. He didn't want to drag the pooed onesie off her so we cut it off. He was hooting and hollering about all the poo.
How does your DH react?

I don't think poo phases him that much anymore!

It doesn't phase him much! He will rant about how gross it is but he will be laughing. Lol
We've laughed many times at being pooed and peed on.

he's never dealt with a true blowout, she's only had maybe a handful and most of htem at daycare. But bad poops he gags and I swear uses a whole thing of wipes! ha

Thankfully we're over this stage but he was great at it! Esp with ones that got all over the car seat

Lol!
He was fine with them. We would usually work together to wipe up as much as we could then get the clothes off. Somehow we were able to get onsies over his head. I don't remember how.

@mrskc: the poo was 3/4 of the way up her back I was fine with cutting it off so it didn't get dragged over her hair - we promptly gave her a bath anyways but nobody needs poo in their hair

The first time, we were both kind of shocked by the blow out, we've tossed a few onesies, especially when they were just too much to handle at the moment, lol.

First time we were both grossed out. But cleaned it together pretty quickly. Poo doeant phase him anymore tho he does claim tjat every poopy dipe he gets to change is the biggest one ever. Lol

He doesn't love it, but he deals with it pretty well when he has to.
In general, though, DH cannot handle dirty diapers. They literally make him turn green and gag. Because he is such a great dad and partner in all other areas, I give him a pass on this and handle them myself when I am around because I feel so bad for him.

Dh gets really grossed out be he handles it, with lots of exclaiming and laughing. Sometimes he needs my help.
@MrsH: the other day C had been constipated, so I'd been making a point of only putting her in things that don't go over the head. We were leaving for a ski trip so I put her in a onesie that Dh had gotten while I was pregnant from a ski resort, and I told her "If you have a blow out we are going to have to cut this off of you". Well, I jinxed it, biggest blow out she has ever had, but since it was a special onesie I didn't cut it. The secret is to pull it up to the back of her neck, but not hair, then pull the from over her face. Emergency bath after that but at least no shampoo.

I can def imagine my DH being way calmer about this than I would be. Not the gross factor but I am a clean freak so I'd get pretty worked up about blow outs!

@Foodnerd81: thankfully it was just a white one good idea about things that don't go over the head!

He makes a big deal about how it's a two man job and makes me come help him. Not sure what he would do if I wasn't around...

@MrsH: lol! We had lots of those kind of blowouts. Never thought to cut it off but that would have been a good idea. Lol I think I would kind of roll the shirt up so when it went over his head, it didn't get any on his hair.

He has no problem changing her but every time he does he's like, "This is horrible! this is her worst blowout yet!" Sometimes he's right, but most of the time he's just being dramatic

He comments on the sheer amount of poo that can come out of such a tiny person, talks about how bad it smells, and just gets it done. There have only been a few where we point at the other person and tell them it's their job, like a few weeks ago when her poos smelled like Ramen and I just could not handle it AT ALL.

At home, DH gets all the poopy diaper changes.
If DS blew out at school, DH rinses out the poopy clothes. I don't do anything poopy related unless I'm alone. haha.
