What would be in it?
If we decide to move DD1 to her big girl room, I'm gonna move out all my old furniture (book case, desk/chair) and just leave her the twin bed. Want to brain storm what to put in there instead...
- a low dresser and then I can put books/toys/stuffed animals on top
- reading nook?

I like the tiny tables for toddlers they have at Ikea! And also those reading teepee areas.

Large mirror with dress up hooks
Low all purpose table- drawing, block building, trains etc
Storage for toys LO can easily get to
Place to independently put clothes on (montessori inspirarion)

@snowjewelz: do you have a separate play area or want to keep most of her toys and stuff in there? I am planning to keep my 3 year olds new room fairly sparse but we will have a play room- less distractions at bedtime I hope.
@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: I really like the idea of a place she can independently get dressed, I will do that!
As far as a mirror have you done any research on safer mirrors for toddlers or babies who still might hit the mirror sometimes?

@Foodnerd81: Nah, most of her toys will still be in our living room; I was thinking maybe just take her stuffed animals to her room. I don't want her room to have that much to do either!

@Foodnerd81: we have cheapie mirrors down low for the kids and have never had a problem, even with banging.

I would want a bed, a chair with side table and footstool for reading together, a table with stools to sit on for projects, an Ikea Kallax unit to keep stuff in and maybe a tent/teepee.
Practically though, we have none of that in my son's room. We went the traditional route with a full set of furniture (including a full sized student desk and bookshelf) and I was limited on space.

She has a bed, dresser, nightstand, bookshelf, and a princess tent(which she never goes in). Right now the glider is still in there too. We will move it to the nursery later this year.

They warn against everything tipping over, but I feel like this is pretty close to the ground and we're only putting clothes in there.
It's prob gonna just be the twin bed, this dresser with some books/stuffed toys on top, and maybe a desk/chair or teepee or something as a reading nook.
