In the last month or so, DS has really calmed down at bedtime. It's such a relief! He used to cry from the moment he got out of the tub until I stuck the bottle in his mouth, but now he's so pleasant, I hate leaving him at night! Tonight he kept stroking my face and saying "Mama" softly. 
What a sweetie!

We rock for a little bit and she's so sweet and then lays down so calmly it's kinda enjoyable too!!

Omg I needed to read this. DS is almost 1 and its tears until bottle every night. How am I gonna bottle wean?!

@winniebee: I'm telling you, it was like all these amazing things happened when we switched to one nap! We bottle weaned, he started sleeping in, bedtime became a million times easier, he started sleeping through the night. Amazing!

@Honeybee: wow!!! Naps and night sleep are good here (at home) but we still have an early riser and years before bed. Always.

@Honeybee: he takes 1 nap at daycare at least once a week but not at home. I think you are right that he may sleep in when down to one nap. On occasion he will now sleep til 6 - which is sleeping in in my world! I'm glad it got better for you!

We still let her have a bottle and she still wakes up super early but at least the cuddles are nice.

M. has always been the kind of kid who lays down at 7 and gently goes to sleep, and then sleeps until 7 am. But she doesn't deal with changes as well as I would like, so she screamed for an hour tonight before sleeping, despite holding, rocking and singing. Not fun in a hotel room far from home!
Enjoy that sweet little man for me!

It's also hard when you have to share a hotel room. Hopefully she'll have a good day tomorrow with her daddy and big sister. And hopefully you'll have a good day tomorrow, too!

My kids are so much better now! I do bedtime routine and for the most arts, they fall asleep and sleep until around 5:30. I don't get them until around 6 and they just play in their cribs or yell at each other.... Lol.

i still nurse olive so bedtime is pretty easy. she is almost 19 months!
bedtime was awesome for charlie until he was 2 and started climbing out of his crib. then it was downhill from there....

@Mrs. Bee: Haha, DD's bedtime routine lasts 2-3 hours. DS, on the other hand is usually out within 30 minutes. Such a difference!

Bedtime is the best. We wait until my daughter asks to go to bed. On a bad night, that's not until 9. But she'll ask for it, then go into her room and turn on her white noise machine and roll around on her bed. Then we change her, read the bedtime book, and nurse to sleep. On a good night it goes really quickly. It's awesome, I love how easy it is. Waiting for her to be ready can be a drag, but I'll take that forever over a nightly fight.
