WDYB What do you bring?
Something for the host(ess)? Something for his baby? There will be another couple there as well with a baby. Should I bring something for both babies (they are much older than my LO)?

I like to bring some kind of liquor, like St. Germain, Aperol, or Lillet.

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: What about board books? Those are easy to wrap and stick in your diaper bag in case they present you with something.

What's the occasion? I'd typically offer to contribute an appetizer/salad/dessert to the meal, and bring wine or flowers. If the purpose was meeting their new baby I might bring a small gift, but since your baby is younger, it sounds like that's not the purpose of the gathering.

@PinkElephant: funny enough you asked that. Just spoke with DH again about this gathering and it's a birthday party for his boss's one year old. Looks like I'm buying a birthday gift!
