I just bought them for the first time (anniversary sale) and wore them two days. Yep, they are regular leggings. Perhaps a bit more durable? Felt great working out with them though. (I did agility workouts.)I liked that they went alll the way down to my ankles and all the way up on my stomach. I also like them bc the price was decent and I wanted some leggings that went all the way down.

I love them! They are meant to be workout pants but I wear them as normal leggings also.

I like that they're high-waisted and suck everything in. They also hold up really well. I have two pairs and they have both been washed many, many times because I wear them multiple times per week.

I think it may depend on the type of leggings you are used to wearing. I had been wearing pretty cheap ones before I bought zellas so I was impressed at how they are thick, they tuck in everything and are more flattering than my old leggings, and they hold up well over time. My old ones were just cheap cotton ones from Old Navy though, so for me the zellas were definitely an upgrade.

The pairs I have aren't shiny, but yeah they're just regular leggings. Just better quality and thicker, so that makes them more flattering I think. Also I have some pairs that are years old and there's absolutely no pilling. They look like new after every wash.

I have a pair and they are reversible . One side is shiny one is not . Maybe that's where the confusion comes from?

Aw bummer. I just ordered some a few days ago too. I read they're good as athleisure or not. I assumed they then wouldn't be shiny. I was gonna just get Hue and maybe I should have. Guess I'll just have to wait and see!

since 2010. I bought new ones this year just because I wanted a new lenvth/style but they're still in great shape.

I'll be the dissenter and say I did not like the Zellas. Bought two pair two years ago, and I never wear them. I find the thick fabric to be super hot, I fee like it makes me ten degrees warmer. The higher waistsband everyone raves about hits me in a funny place and also sort of rolls down when I bend down. I felt like I kept having to hitch up the waistband.
