As much as I don't particularly care for Zimmerman, the jury has spoken and he is back to just being a citizen.
What he does: saving people on the highway or getting stopped for speeding with a weapon, is really not news-worthy. Do you want to still hear about GZ?

I don't want to hear about him either. However, the speeding with the weapon in the car feels a bit scary since everyone knows what he's capable of.

Hope he stays & enjoys Texas. Otherwise I'm used to hearing a bunch of news I don't think is really worthy of news. lol
ETA: Ugh.. it is too bad CNN didn't report the whole conversation that they had. 
Zimmerman actually informed the officer that he had his firearm in his glovebox upon the officer approaching the car (just like he should) and the officer didn't recognize him until Zimmerman himself clarified who he was AND the officer told him he was glad he was carrying considering the threats on him. It was actually a very nice casual conversation.
Him carrying really isn't a big deal.

Yeah I'm pretty sick of hearing about him. I don't think this would have made news, or at least not as much, if he hadn't had a gun in the car with him. I just think that's attention-grabbing given his history.

I'm sick of hearing about him, and the news media incorrectly reporting on the trial. They keep calling him "Trayvon's murderer" but um.. at least I saw that it was a not guilty verdict - I don't know if anyone else did. Yes, he killed Travon, but a jury found him not guilty of murder.

@MrsMcD: Yeah, hopefully he doesn't do anything stupid and in the public for a long time. If he does something public and stupid, there's always the possibility that he'll get locked up again.

OJ only got paroled on some of his charges, though, so at least at this point he'll be in jail for four more years minimum.

No. They need to leave him alone, it's just petty at this point. There are so many more important things to talk about than a free man driving a bit too fast and properly informing the officer of his legal gun.
